First up, let me direct you to an image from a particular "club" from CA(is that California?)  What do you reckon, sounds and looks to me like someone with too much money, too little imagination and too much time decided to take a page out of a popular culture publication(read: Initial D) then try to translate it into real life. Could we turn Tokyopop on them to get a cessation notice on their use of licensed Intellectual Property? On second thought, can we light them on fire instead?

I want to kill them, but I can't blame them for putting the stickers on their cars. I put "(insert Macross Symbol) U.N. SPACY" stickers on my the supercharged Accord V6, because I'm a huge fan of Macross. I wasn't part of a "U.N. SPACY racing team." I just wanted to show that I was a fan. It's the same as people with bumper stickers or license plate frames.
But to actually make a street "racing" team based on a shitty anime (that had kick-a** tunes, mind me) is lame. Come up with your own name and symbol, because seriously copying racing teams from TV shows is stupid and uncreative. Actually, ******** that s**t, being on a street racing "team" is just plain stupid.

I personally think it is pretty cool, but at the same time really lame.
I really like Initial D now that I've seen it, but I can't imagine doing something like that...
I'd like to have their money and cars.

Speaking about your old accord Mille I was wondering how much HP it put down with the SC? What kind of tuning did you have to do to get it to run protoculture, and was the performance boost worth the effort? mrgreen
I've been planning a Gerwalk conversion to my acura since I have it torn apart anyhow. heart

Around 240-250 depending on the weather and heat soak idling time.
Protoculture? I love Macross, not that abomination called Robotech that Harmony Gold released. Fusion turbines, not "protoculture."
Can't do transformations with mine, unfortunately. I took out all the extra transformation mechanisms to save weight!

Oh well... I was always more of a Battletech person actually.
I guess now is not the time to admit I have the complete robotech boxed set. redface
It was a Christmas gift... honest!

I guess now is not the time to admit I have the complete robotech boxed set. redface It was a Christmas gift... honest! I remember the old Battletech computer game The Crescent Hawk's Inception from back when I was a kid. Never was able to get into the miniatures game, but I did play the RPG a few times. I also remember the awesomeness of when I went into the Battletech simulator in Chicago years and years ago. Big robots rule! Don't worry about having the DVDs of Robotech. I bought the Robotech: Battlecry (limited edition box) game for my X-Box when it came out, just so I could pilot a Valkyrie. I just pretended that it was a Macross game.

F R I V O L O U Z I was always more of a Mobile Suit Gundam fan myself... The only thing I don't like about Gundam, is that the main characters are always "too good" and just lay waste to everyone else. Also, the VF-2SS is the most beautiful Mecha ever, and before that, I was in love with the VF-1S.

I actually wanted to put a empror sticker offset on my car if I ever got a Evo 3 or 4. gonk
I thought at the time that it would be a cool idea.
I still like the origional Initial D series, where they realised that Takumi was actually a boring character, and put in characters like Iketani and others who acutally couldn't drive and had real issues to deal with.
They should make another show and call it Akina speed stars. Where its all about those people etc.
If I was to buy a car that I feel is tokyo-ish enough for me to put stickers and stuff on, then it would probably be a awd toyota starlet; or a old evo; rx7; or Suzuki Cappichino.
