Xadrium's Haven

Though it looks like the dilapidated remnant of an ancient civilization's village, the two-story facility in which Xadrium trains his students is quite intact. Upon approaching the building, a student may feel intrigued or apprehensive, for the building's mien frightens some. But as a student nears the building, the torches that line the outer walls will ignite and the student will realize that he is soon going to meet a crafty, experienced sage. At this point, the shadows dance, jeering at the student who may feel some hesitation. But that student is driven by his will to train under Xadrium, and that is why he keeps walking.

The large, arched doorway usually remains unblocked. The student walks through it and immediately finds himself in a large chamber. The ground is made of earth and the walls are lined with torches. There are four items, resembling bird baths, each resting in a different quadrant of the room and each containing a decent amount of water. In this way, each element is present in the room.

In the very back of the square room there is a spiral staircase, also made of thick, firm earth. The student, in search of the sage, will probably climb the staircase and find a room resembling a lobby. There are two wooden coffee tables and some matching wooden chairs. The walls of the room are lined with bookshelves that abound with books about magic. The back of the room, however, has two doors rather than a long bookshelf. "The Sage's Quarters" is engraved in the left door. The opposite door leads to a barracks in which trainees may sleep, clean up, and eat. When the student knocks on the door, Xadrium will open it, and, after a short meeting, the training will begin.
