With the influx of new recruits, perhaps a higher ranking officer would be required to command a unit.
Ability to control NPC's as our battle system becomes more complex.
For exhibition of leadership skills during your absence.
For level of activity.
For the sake of owning more and/or higher level 'Mechs that I'm eager to design for the Army.
If you are for some reason unwilling or the slightest bit hesitant to let me jump O-2, then don't. I'd hate to put you in a position that you might later regret, and I'd still gratefully accept First Lieutenant.

I would like to move up in rank because I feel as though I am capable of partial leadership or roles of more responsibility, however in order to do so I must climb the heirarchical Military ladder, even if by small steps.
