As the first rays of golden sunshine shone through the cave entrance, Felix blinked sleepily before letting out a huge yawn. He stretched, and, remembering where he was, smiled at the serene scene of his mate and his grown children. "Good morning," he called out lightly t his sleeping family.
Harmony turned around in her sleep before mumbling something incomprehensible to the voice she knew to be her father's. "Is it really time to get up?" she grumbled as she unwillingly turned to face the sunshine. Her soft green eyes struggled to refocus the large amounts of light that she was seeing, and she blinked rapidly to do so. Sighing, she dragged herself up to a sitting position and started to give her fur a licking.

((Wow, Felix is an elder. Congrats. I don't have the links now that they have changed.))
Sofiel woke up to the sweet sound of her mate's voice. She stretched and yawned. "Good morning to you too dear." She nuzzled his side and then slowly sat up.
Chance woke up and then rolled over. "Not yet." He hated waking up too early and when his Dad got up it was too early. "Five more minutes."

(( =D Thanks. Just take the old links and get rid of the /male or /female and the image will appear.))
"Come on, Chance, you've already slept your fill," Felix said as he gently nudged his son on the side. Seeing that Chance wasn't going to budge anytime soon, he sighed lightly and returned to bask in the sunlight with Sofiel. "Shall we go down into the valley today, my love?" he asked endearingly to his mate. "The children can spend the day in the sunlight."
"Yeah, Chance," Harmony chimed in as she nosed her brother so that he was in the path of the sunlight. "Rise and shine, sleeping beauty," she teased as he still refused to get up. At the mention of going down into the valley, she smiled and perked her ears up. "The valley? That sounds cool."

Sofeil smiled and giggled at them trying to get her son up. "That's a very lovely idea, Felix." She then tapped Chance's head, "I can fly you."
Chance sat right up for that, "Seriously?" He then looked at his sister and Father, "What about them?" He didn't want her to take him and not them too.

"Don't worry, Chance. I've already flown with your mother before." Felix smiled fondly at the memory of feeling lighter than air and watching the landscape tumble past him beneath his paws. "I'm sure your mother can take you and your sister in turns so you can both fly," he said thoughtfully.
Harmony's ears perked up at the thought of flying, but then lowered a little when she heard that Chance was going. She nodded enthusiastically when her father suggested that she could go flying as well. "I'm dying to go flying for once," she said.

Sofiel smiled, "That's a very good idea. I'll fly Chance down and then come back for you, Harmony!" She nuzzled Harmony's head and then picked up Chance. "Hold on to me. I'll be back!"
Chance smiled and turned around so her could hold tight to his mother. "Yay!" When his mother took flight he looked down and was in awe of the beauty that lay below.

Felix smiled as his plan was put into action. "All right, time to take a quick stretch," he said to Harmony as Sofiel left with Chance. "You don't want any cramps in the middle of the air." He laughed quietly to himself and stretched out a little to soak up some more sun. "I guess she'll come back for me last," he murmured to himself.
Harmony gazed out of the cavern entrance and watched in admiration and envy as her brother was whisked away by the wind, it seemed to her. "I wish I had wings," she thought to herself. Instead, she followed her father's lead and took a quick stretch.

"It's beautiful!" He said to his mom. He couldn't believe she got to do this whenever she wanted. She was so lucky. When she landed he smiled and kissed her cheek, "Thanks mom!"
"You are very welcome, my son." She flapped her wings and flew back up to her daughter and husband. "Harmony's turn and then last but not least, my beloved." She landed next to Harmony. "You saw how it's done, just make sure you hold on tight. Because you didn't get to go first, I'll fly a little longer, ok?"

"I await your return," Felix said as his mate set out once again, this time with his daughter in tow. Somwhere in his train of thought, he hoped that Harmony wouldn't let go in the middle of the flight. He then shrugged off his worries and resumed watching the pair fly down.
"This is...amazing!" Harmony looked around at the scenery flashing past her, as well as the feel of the cool wind against her fur. She held on tightly, as much as she wanted to let go and see if she could somehow float down. "Thank you, mother," she whispered in Sofiel's ear.

Sofiel nodded to Felix as the took off with Harmony. "You are so welcome, my darling." She kept her promise and flew a little longer with Harmony, even diving by Chance and giggling as she touched his head. Finally, she landed next to him and then flew off for Felix.
Chance watched his Mom and sister and laughed as they dived and looped above his head. "Fun, huh?" He smiled and asked his sister as she sat down next to him.

"Ah, you're back, my love," Felix smiled as his mate returned back up to the cave entrance. "Are you sure you don't want to take a quick break? All this flying must make you quite tired," he put in thoughtfully. "And I could always walk down the mountain."
"Yeah. That was awesome!" Harmony nodded enthusiastically as she landed, trying to steady herself so she didn't fall over. "I wonder what we're going to do down here," she mused out loud as she scanned the fertile green valley.

"Nah, I could never be too tired for you." She smiled and waited for him to climb aboard. She then flapped her wings and flew them both back down to their children. She nuzzled Felix before letting him go.
"I dunno." He looked around the field it was quite pretty. "Maybe play a game or something?" He shrugged and wished he could fly some more.

"Me too," Felix whispered into Sofiel's ear as she glided gently down into the valley. He got of quickly so Sofiel didn't have to carry his weight as a burden any longer, and smiled at his children. "Well, now, I suppose we can play a game. Any ideas?"
Harmony's eyes widened as possible game ideas raced through her mind. "We could play tag, but I guess Mom would have an advantage," she said wryly as she remembered that her mother could fly. "And there aren't enough hiding spaces to play Hide and Seek, either."

Sofiel smiled and nodded. She then laughed at Harmony, "What if I promise not to fly? I never cheat." She wasn't one to do something unfair.
"Tag sounds good." Chance then got a semi-evil smirk. Before there was anymore talk he nudged his sister, "You're it!" He then ran off as fast as he could.

Felix gave out a chuckle before sprinting as fast as he could across the field and lush scenery. He stopped near a large rock before looking behind him to see where Harmony was. Apparently, she had decided to chase after her brother, so he paused to lick his ruffled fur back into place.
"Come back here!" Harmony bellowed as she raced after Chance. She was furious at his slyness and his speed, but she wasn't about to be beat. As she routed around a lone tree, she sped up to catch up to him.
