Kota had traveled high from the moutians. He looked back somberly. Memories flooding his mind as him and his pack were barried under the avalanch. He shuddered. He was nearly the youngest. He had killed them. He blammed himself. Sorrow filled him. Tears had stroked his face when he cried out. Howling to the skys. It was a powerful shrill of saddness he could make the mountains around himself weep. He was alone. Scared and without a place to go. He was dying inside.

Kota heard a faint respsonse in the air. At first he thought it was a pack mate. His heart skipped a few beats as he listend to its song. With sulky realization, he knew it was not one of them, but another. Below the mountian lines.

As the wind blew he looked behind him, hopeing, searching, and wanting something to be fallowing him. He wanted his family to be okay. He did not want to be the only one. Sarrow was weighing down his heart a he tread on. For some reason or another he blindly went towards the sound of the howl. He didnt even realize where he was going until the snow fell away into a forest which would lead to the valley below.

Kota padded down into the dense forest. He realized he had left the snow he had lived in for all of his life. He was going to miss it. But hope pounded in his heart for some kind of life form he could talk to. He was growing increasingly lonly. He dipped under the canopys and lept over thick brush as he moved at a steady pace towards the open vally.

Kota first stopped and raised his head back in surprise. The dark fea had passed as shadows to him. Then he lowered his head to cover his exposed neck. A beat of fear pressed through his heart. Surly he gained enough confidence to finally speak after a long moment at a complete standstill. "Im Lakota, sone of the northern tribe." He swallowed and relaxed a little bit before speaking again. "I am seeking shelter for now."

Kekie caught up with her mother smelling a new scent. The wind blew carrying the scent away. She lifted her head to see a white, male wolf standing just 20 feet away from them. "What did I miss?" She said descusted by the wolf. She let a small laugh out and turned away and walked a couple steps then stoped waiting for Kuna.

Kuna gave Kekie a glare. She knew she was supposed to be training the little pup on everything she knows, but when she treated everyone with dissrespect it made her temper rise a little. She must think shes better because she gets to be the alphas daugther. She thought to herslef. "Im Kuna, alpha of the Lunar Pack." She padded ahead of both of the younglings "Welcome to Placer Valley. My home." She said as they came out to the open expanse that was lined by the forest they were in.

"Not alone your not." She looked at Kota. "Your too young to even take down a baby fawn. You'll go rabbit or pheasent hunting. Me and Kota will teach you. Since if hes going to be here, he'll have to feed himself." Kuna had told her as she jumped infront of her. "You still have lots to learn." Then she took them to the grassland.
