I suggest that we create A GOMAC Security Force to fight alongside our member nation's militaries

no, volunteers from each, whose loyalties in full conflict lie with council first, and the other guilds second. Plus in peace time they are essentially a police force

That does seem like a good idea.
However,
Would it not be nice for GOMAC to have it's own military to fight alongside those members at war? I mean, that would be interesting to me. Not only would we have volunteers from other guilds to be part of GOMAC's force, but we would also have a whole other fleet behind us.
We (GOMAC) would have more power to use for fighting alongside our allies and for being police in peacetime. However, I am not saying that power is the ultimate winner here. That is definately not true.
What I'm saying is: having more members that are just part of the GOMAC Force could help in a number of ways, because we may not have enough volunteers in time for a war.

thats exactly what the security forces is about, and for a while we're going to have to rely on volunteers until we find people from out of the guild

Well, lets start making siggys and putting out ads for wanted members in the gaia guilds forum.
But our advertising the guild should be left up to airforcefreak, in my opinion.

The UN has a seperate military force, and other countries contribute to that, and we're designed to functution like NATO and the UN

But, if you don't mind me arguing, airforce_freak, who's to say that we'll have enough guilds for that time? I could help recruit military guilds to GOMAC, but a lot of the one's I know... good ones that I've started off in... are no longer active.

That will probably be of no use Kyo. I have already sent an alliance message to most of the military guilds... so far, none of them have responded. The only bet for recruitment is towns and rallies.
