I'm in a biology class that, since I've finally chosen the major specified in my signature, I don't need for my degree. I don't even need it for an elective because I already have a billion of those. I hate this class, and wish that I could just quit going and fail it. But I'm afraid that if I do that, the school will not qualify me for government loans next year. It had been my understanding that if you don't complete at least 75% of the classes you registered for, as counted on the 12th class day or so, you had to make an appeal in order to remain elligible for financial aid of any kind, including loans and grants. However, last semester (Fall 200 cool I failed 75% of the classes I was registered for. I wasn't expecting to have financial aid this semester, because when I was a freshman, the same thing happened and I had to make an appeal. But I didn't make an appeal this time, and I never received a letter about it or anything, like I did in the previous semesters. But the financial aid was posted on my account. I thought maybe it was just an administrative error on the school's part. So I figured I'd need to pass 75% of my classes this semester so that I'd be able to afford school next year. But it's possible that that isn't the case. After my freshman year, I got documentation of a learning disability, so maybe the whole 75% thing just doesn't apply to me question mark question mark question mark. That would actually make sense, because there are some people who go to school here who are like really mentally retarded and if the 75% thing applied to them, they'd never be able to graduate. So maybe they just apply that to anyone who has documented disability.

If that is the case, that would be awesome, because that would mean that I can just fail the stupid awful biology class and focus on the other 2 classes I'm taking, which are both required for my degree.

FYI, I am signed up for 4 classes this semester, but I've already quit going to the 4th one. It is Research & Composition and it is evil. It is comprised of the two things that have hurt my grades since jr. high school, and it is the reason I sought documentation of a learning disability, and its two elements are laregely what is making me hate this biology class (because we have to do a research paper gonk scream ), but there's also the fact that the professor is a douche who sucks at math and rambles too much in class.

Anyway, I have the 2nd step of this stupid research paper due on Thursday at 8:00 am, and I'm about 1/5 of the way done with it. If I had an extra week it might be OK, but Higgins is an a** and will not give extensions. I need a little bit of understanding and compassion from my professors but no one can comprehend how hard research papers are for me, and it's almost like they think I just shouldn't be in college if I don't already know how to do it. scream

It turns out I fail the class. I don't feel like going into details right now.
