Tell us about your Fallout characters! Names, play-styles, interesting stories, that sort of thing.
I've got two, one is a goody two shoes called Elliot Reed (of Scrubs fame =P ) and the other was called John Smith, who was more of a Clint Eastwood anti-hero. Typically though, my characters are straight up fighters who know how to talk to people.
I'd love to try it with a melee weapons fighter and someone who is a bit more sneaky, but you know.. I used to get so fed up because I'd find out my lockpick wasn't high enough, then I'd find out my science wasn't high enough and I haven't got enough points for both! D;
Perhaps next time I should be a thief, battling with a Jet addiction. =P

My character's name is John. He is a master of Lockpick and thievery. He is also very good at speaking, and using small guns.
I am also in the act of making my other character, Prometheus, a neutral based character.

I don't someone can give me a low-down on how to make a sneaky thief character? Traditionally I've always been terrible at stealth, so it should be an interesting challenge!

My favorite character was Vischer. I made him my second time through and he was a jack of all trades, but i focused on the specials int, luck, and perception. I tried to max most skills, i didn't use any perks to boost my skills so i had to rely on skill books, but itthat opened up a lot of options in developing a diverse character.

I've had three characters so far, all relatively the same. The first one was Sparkie, my boyfriend's nickname for me. I didn't collect the bobbleheads until after I was out of other things to do, so I already had a lot of things maxed out, and I just really wanted to redo it and collect them early so I actually benefited from the boost they give.
Then I made Kristers, another nickname. Pretty much the same except I really jacked up my speech and sneak, which I haven't found to be that useful. My gaming instincts tell me to alert enemies and then run around a corner while I wait with a shotgun to blast them when they get close enough, so sneak wasn't really good choice. And with speech, I just save before I try a speech check, and then reload if it doesn't work.
So now I'm on Ducky!, yet ANOTHER nickname, kind of. My friend's little brother couldn't pronounce my name when he was little and just started calling me ducky. With Ducky! I'm maxing out Science, Repair, Medicine, Small Guns, Energy Weapons, and Repair, and then if I have points left over I suppose they will go to explosives. I like the big booms. I -think- this will be my last character, unless I decide to take an evil path and nuke Megaton. I'm tempted. But I don't want to find all those freaking bobbleheads yet again. More downloads should be out soon to keep me occupied anyway.
Jeez I talk a lot.

Jeez I talk a lot. That sounds really cool! I should really leave me comfort zone of small guns, speech and medicine and make some more interesting characters! Also I might have to zteal some of your interesting nicknames. ninja

My charaacter was name Stasi and i was master of speech. Whenever the occasions arised it would like 80- 100% success rate. I also used mostly laser pistols but i also like combat shotgun. My person had awsome green hair too. And I like wearing my tunnel snakes jacket to look tough, but keep it mellow with emo glasses.

I'm still playing on my first character he's at lvl 16 now and maxed out on Repair, and he's high on Small guns and lock pick... my medichine is also kinda high too. he's a good character, his name is Hunter. my fav weapon with him is the Ultra 10mm SMG and the sniper rifle. Lincoln's Repeater is pretty fun too, it's almost always istant head kill when shooting the raiders. and my next character is gonna be pretty much the same but more sneaky and she's gonna be bad.... ya i can't wait to restart and play throught it again. razz

Well, I have my main first character, max good karma.
I have a stealth sniper character, evil.
A neutral mercenary-type character.
A "tank" character I'm building. The point of the one is big guns and tons of health and DR without glitches or chems. I'm unsure on how his karma will be as of now though. (With select gear and perks, I got him to 83 DR, which I'm very pleased with)
I have an evil raider character, I'm not sure why I have him, but I like it. Probably because he's my only character with Melee tagged.
I plan on getting all to 30 after Broken Steel. I might be missing one character, I don't remember. ):

I have my first character, Wolfen, who, as I like to say, twas blind, but now see's. I say this because he used to nuke small villages with the mini nuke launcher. Now he steals fingers from dead villains. His fighting style is mostly consistant of using straight up lethal force with heavy melee weapons, and Bolt action rifles. (Hunting rifles, Lincolns Repeater.) Wolfen knows his way around people, one way or another, and he's quite the hacker. His Sci. and Lock pick skills are necessarily high, and never tries to force a lock. He is also quite prominent with the phrase, "BOOM! Headshot!" He died from extreme radiation poisoning, going out like James.
I also had another character, Samuel. Samuel was more of a, "sit down and talk," type of character. He could find out a way to get somebody to crack, and on fewer occasions, went the way of Wolfen. He is an evil character, though, but a persuasive one at that. He spends most of his time at Paradise Falls, talking to slavers, and enslaving more and more passerby salesmen, and raiders. His favorite weapon is the dart gun, for its instant lethality. He caused Megaton to be destroyed, and he also attempted to kill Three-Dog. He killed everyone in the Vault on his last trip there. He still to this day has not even ATTEMPTED to avenge his father's day, and currently lives in Tennepeny Tower, and has space in the Community room at Rivet City, and also has his own bed area at Paradise Falls.

My character's name is either Tashi or Nathan (I use both on Oblivion and Fallout 3). He's a stealth character, who uses the Chinese Stealth Suit and the Infiltrator mostly.
Trying to get out of the habit of sneaking around everything though...
