Setting:
The world is exactly like Earth, but with fictional cities, towns, bodies of water, and so on. More places will be made up as we go.

Open Sea: Vast, blue, and virtually limitless. Home to those who love the ocean... or those who are forced to be on it.

Royal City: Regal, embellished, and all-around expensive. A place filled with decadent shops and houses, and swarming with Navy officers. This city houses the king, his palace, and most of the royal family, hence the name.

Varaiscia: A city made up of mazes upon mazes of canals and waterways. Also frequented as a major port by those taking goods to the Royal City.

Flostan: A small and luxurious resort town, located along the coast. Although the small town is a great place for relaxation in a spa, the town is a well kept secret.

Regis: A relatively simple port town that specializes in vessel repairs.

Averial: A well-known and somewhat heavily populated port. A place more known for its merchant goods and dangerous sea men.

Circo: An active city similar to a circus. Full of life and creativity, this city is best known for its freedom. Even free from times of war.

Norkai: A small port known for selling rare goods. However there is more to this port than meets the eye.

Sarlona: A Western city full of warriors. Known for it's ruthless inhabitants, this city buys off slaves and has them fight to the death in an Arena known as Hell's Gamble.

Pollenair: A small port known for marketing. Specializes in food and medical materials. A common place to restock for long journeys.

More Personal Information:
->Background: Born on an Island in the South Eastern sea, Hana was the seventh child and only daughter of her parents. From an early age, she seemed to display signs of prophetic abilities and was taken under the wing of the Island Shaman, from whom she learned the ancient arts of divination, talismans and charms.

Pirates came and ransacked the entire Island, and when they left, they took her with them. Whether she went by force as a stolen treasure, or by her own free will, no one knows.

She now serves aboard the Pirate vessel Ars Arcanum, under Captain Aramis Flynn, and her loyalties lie with Flynn, rather than with the ship itself. She uses her magics to keep them out of harms way as best she can and to heal the crewmates. Much of the crew regard her as a bit insane and wonder why she is kept on board (until they get hurt and she patches them up), but the Captain permits her to stay as long as she wants- she is a useful asset to have on board.

->Strength and Weakness: Most confident fighting with her weapon of choice, the epee. She can fight absolutely anywhere aboard her own ship, of course. When it comes to boarding another's ship... She doesn't like that very much. It's not that she can't. Just that she'd rather not. It all comes down to being in control.
->Other: She is known to fight dirty, and cruelly. She has killed members of her own crew for doing something that was against her most basic morals. Depending on the seriousness of their crime, she will strike without warning. Not that she kills anyone without a second thought, but she is a hothead to be wary of. She does have a sensitive side of course, and it comes out in quiet moments...

More Personal Information:
->Background: Really was a nice person, good, morally upstanding... Until her village decided she was too nice and should be burned at the stake as a witch. She then took a knife, slipped it into her boot, Tied a bandana to her head and slipped away in the middle of the night to the next town, a port, where she went off on a "transport" ship she didn't realise were pirates (She was a bit naive).

They came to her to get her to work after she had paid her fare, she tried to defend herself with her little knife, in which the pirates all drew their swords... Defeated, she began to work as a member of the crew. That's how life as a pirate began for her.

She watched as these men slaughtered and stole for years until she had decided she had seen enough. She took her little knife and plunged it into the captains neck while he was sleeping, taking over his private cabin and all his effects, becoming captain herself. She has had to wear a brave facade ever since, to force the crew to listen to her... Over the years it became second nature, though at night, every night when she went into her cabin and locked the door (well aware of someone killing her as she had done the previous captain) she felt exhausted and depressed at all the hatred, bloodshed and suffering. During the daytime, she took it out cruelly on her own crew. All forgot her real name, and she became known as only the initial "V", Seeing as she seemed so very different to the sweet child she once was.
->Family/Friends: She isolates herself from everyone. It is very rare for her to have a friend. She was close to her family, but she can never return to her hometown due to the wanting to burn her at the stake thing. Though now that she has made a name for herself as a pirate, they might have second thoughts about her visiting, who knows? They might want to hang her instead.

When alone in her cabin, she does cry. She also has terrible dreams.

->Weapon(s): Various knives for the most part. His outfit allows plenty of spots to hide them in, and with his quick maneuvers and rapid movement, he's rather good at using them. Though a lot better at killing when he throws them when compared to trying to use it in hand to hand combat.
->Style: Quick and agile, when given enough room and distance to work with, it will be hard to approach him, never mind actually catching him. He can be described as the 'slippery' type, as it's hard to find a way to actually get him in one place long enough to get him into a one on one fight.
->Strength: Being of the circus in origin, ropes are his friends. In other wards, when infiltrating enemy ships while in a sea battle, he will be one of the first to swing across onto the enemy ship. He can weave his way through the ropes and sail above, and happily snipe the enemies below with a few well thrown knives. And with a quick few snips, the enemy boat might find themselves with their own sail bearing down on them once it has been severed from it's mast.
->Weakness: When against one strong opponent, and close combat. Lin is agile, quick, swift, but he lacks in the actual strength department. He prefers to let bear do the muscling, rather then try so himself. He also has a slight phobia of most things involving otherworldly powers, such as psychics or religious people. He believes the scar over his eye is a curse, and that the only way to remove it is to kill the one who gave it to him. And since he doesn't know who gave it to him, he kills anyone who claims to have ties with the supernatural.
->Other: Lin is actually strangely serious and quiet when he's not trying to look the fool, it's when he's fighting that he got his real name. Whenever he's in a fight, the most distinct note that he's their is the constant laughter coming from him.

More Personal Information:
->Background: Lin grew up like any normal kid who lived in a circus city...he pretty much became a jack of all trades when it came to circus acts; the tightrope, lion taming, etc...but his specialty was knife throwing. He absolutely loved doing the whole 'tie someone to a spinning wheel and throw knives at them blindfolded' bit, and very rarely did someone get killed, so it was all good. At some point, the town was visited by a crew of pirate mystics, one of which had volunteered for Lin's act. Well, one of the other clowns thought it was hilarious to give Lin a very special brownie indeed. And it was all fun and hilarious, I mean, the color of the woman's blood was radiant and danced around like tiny little faeries. Oh, what a sight... Unfortunately, the crew didn't seem to think so. The next thing Lin remembers is waking up in a room of blood, with this scar over his eye. Now, the mystic pirates were gone, and pretty much his entire troop was dead, and funny as it was, the scar over Lin's eye was shaped as an upside down pentagon, before drawing down across his eye and under it. Lin thought this was a strange wound indeed, and considered it a cursed wound, given by one of the crew members of that mystic crew. Whether or not it is, didn't matter, as he got on the next ship out in pursuit, and ended up on V's ship.

->Secret(s): He is deathly scared of mystics and the occult, and will go to any lengths to ensure the painful slaughter of each and every one of them. The downside to this is he's easy to manipulate, and easy to read when it comes to fighting a mystic.
