Over the course of me watching Supernatural I must have read over a thousand fanfic's, lol (the good, the bad and the just plain god-awful gonk )
So here's my ever growing list of fav's. I'll try to catoragize them so you know what you'll be reading.
[Not: NF means, not finished]
Crack!fic's/Humor:
Castiel's drunken Ordeal (NF) ( self-explanatory really, lol)
A Picture's Worth a Thousand Nerd's (Dean finds something very disturbing while surfing the web....)
The Insult Game (a little funny drabble)
Smiting Ruby, One Shot at a Time (self-explanatory)
What's in the Box? [NF] (Wha happens when Dean starts hearing women's thoughts?)
On the Savannah (Cute little drabble involving Dean's eating habits)
Yo Rinty! (The boys find a stray and take him in)
Turtleneck (answers a question from 'Monster movie" XD )
Strategy (Sam has a theory and Dean's clueless)
Rainbow Man (FAKE!WINCEST XD )
Lucky Strike Cafe (The boys go bowling, but there's a kicker at the end...)
Now all you need is a Rubber Ducky! (self-explanatory)
Touch the Rainbow (A parody of a commercial.... poor Dean XD )
What the Winchesters would NEVER say (self-explanatory, total crack XD )
The little craftshop of horrors (Attack of the evil craft store! XD pure crack)
SO Not following the Yellow Brick road (Dean in Oz. This will be fun)
Diet is a four letter word (Sam talks to Dean about his eating habits....)
Big Fat Problem (Dean gets cursed XDD)
Supersize Me! (A hysterical fic and if you read anything off this list, let it be this 3nodding )
Dean's Anatomy (Dean's sick.... hilarity ensues XD )
The Supernatural Mystery Theater 6000 (One of the most hysterical things I've ever read. Basically people are trapped in a room with nothing to watch but SPN. They comment and poke fun every second they get)
Triple Word Scores (Dean buys a board game out of total boredom)
Emails from Hell (This one has won awards, it's so funny. Sorta a prank war fic)
Love gives, Love Takes (What happens when everyone falls head over heels for Dean?.... even his own brother? XDD)
Wee!Chesters (or de-agers, same difference, lol)
Childish Things (Sam get's turned into a 5 year old... the end is very cute)
Rummage Sale (The boys go to a rummage sale, some comfort/hurt)
Water Attacks (Funny story of Dean attempting to fix plumbing... and failing miserably XD )
Lil Sammy (Not exactly a de-ager... but it's one of the best stories I've ever read)
The Golden Age (Sam and Dean are de-aged and the only way they'll be turned back is if they work together to beat a game...)
Or Something Like that (A cute teen!fic of Dean helping Sam out)
Transformation!fics
The Tale of Teenie Weenie Deanie (Dean got turned into a mouse XDDDD )
Hello Kitty (Dean gets turned into a cat)
Deanzilla vs. The Hydros (Dean has a small... okay BIG problem...)
Angst and Horror

Forty Years (Sam thinks about what Dean said at the end of 'Heaven and Hell')
Entertaining Angels [NF] (Cas shows up on the boys doorstep as not only a fallen angel but as little boy and they have to protect him)
Western:
Like Us but on Horse back[NF] (My all-time FAVORITE fanfic ever. It's amazing, I cannot recommend it more. It's really a hurt!Dean, but the AU it's in is believable and well-written.)
Sick/comfort:
Strangers and Angels(Dean gets sick and complete strangers help him and Sam out. One of the first fics I read, very well-written and heart-felt.)
sick (Dean's sick, very sad story)
Bellyache (Cute drabble ^^)
Wincest
Do I Matter? [NF] (I dunno why, but I like this fic. It's very angsty though, be warned)
MPreg (Yes, I actually read these..)
Us (Beware, this contains Wincest) [NF] (Gorgeous mpreg story, I'm addicted to it so much I don't even mind the wincest, lol. Well-written and very detailed, the wincest is softcore)
Offspring [NF] (My favorite mpreg story, but unfortunatly the author stopped updating a long time ago. But there's a lot to read, and it was very nicely written, funny, and creative so you can still give it a try if ya want.)
Angel of Mine (A little poorly written, but I like it still)
Lucky Number 7 (A rare Sam!preg story I like. Also a teen!chester story. Very intriguing)
Crossovers:
Diagnosis is Far from Supernatural[NF] (HousexSPN crossover, hysterical XD)
Misc:
Child's Eyes (Dean comforts a child, lovely story, almost makes me cry)
Hold Your Applause (Lilith and the Trickster have a conversation, it's very interesting.)

I read the Supersize me and it was truly hilarious! rofl
Sam: “Whatcha gonna do, sit on me?” lol
Cas's Drunken ordeal is also funny. I hope it gets finished! I wanna see how the boys and Bobby are gonna handle this! xd
Rainbow!Man had me laughing too, especially the push up scene!
Sam's confession surprised me though! lol
And Lillith's and the trickster's conversation in "Hold your Applause" was very well written. It's like I could see it happening.

~I know! Read the push-up scene and was like 'OMG WTF?!' and then I read that part and almost fell out of my chair laughing XDDD
I got surprised by the confession too. Not my favorite part of the story but *shrug* It didn't affect my thoughts on it.
~ Their discussion felt so real right? Like you could almost see it happening in the SPN universe. And I think she characterized the Trickter very well, because as much as he did like screwing around with the boys, I think he actually did like them and want them to win. That's why he did that to Sam, to just teach him a lesson. If he really hated him he would have kept the cycle going.

Almost every time Dean get's turned into something, it's funny as heck. And adorable, lol.

hmmm, I'll have to look at those. In the meantime, here are some suggestions for fanfics that I really enjoyed. Five Questions Jess asks Sam 5 questions. Genre: Angst/family Empty Motel Rooms Sam is at Stanford. Dean has just finished a hunt and is reflecting on life. Genre: Angst/family In ReverseTakes place after the episode Faith. Sam and Dean go on a hunt in Wyoming that brings up memories of a hunt from their childhood. (It gets a little cheesy at some spots, but it's mostly excellent) Genre: Family/drama

I love and recommend anything by K Hanna Korossy, she's written a ton of Supernatural fanfic, and all of it is excellent. "Child's Eyes" is my favorite though 3nodding
And I just found "Hold Your Applause" to be cleverly written.
Glad you liked them, and I'm definitly gonna check out your recommendations ^_^

I think my heart melted a little while reading that, lol. I started the third and it's very intriguing. I'm hooked, lol. I can't believe it's got over a thousand reviews! That second one really melted my heart as well. Until I started reading it, I had never really thought about what Dean was going through while Sam was at Stanford. I mean, I had always known it was hard for him and whatnot, but still. This story totally hits home with it.

This story totally hits home with it. Yes, it is a eye-opener. I don't anyone really realizes how much hell Dean went through being alone. And I love how the author just punches you in the gut by adding in the fact that it's Thanksgiving. Gawd, that almost killed me. Poor Dean =(
