The Gym Battle Forum is a forum I created with the purpose of creating Gyms in which, like the games, are one 'Type' Pokémon Gyms. Leaders will be guild members like yourselves and you will run the gyms yourselves and appoint your own gym members. We will even design unique badges that users can obtain and possibly give out Gaia related prizes (Gold/Items/etc.) to trainers that manage to defeat the gym leaders. If you win the title of leader you are allowed to name your gym anything you want to.
Now first and foremost we will have to decide who will be the gym leaders of each gym! And what better way to do that than by having Pokémon battles?
Each user who wishes to become a leader of a certain gym will bring together a team of six Pokémon of that 'Type'.
Example: Trainers who wish to become the leader of the Water-type based gym will have to bring together an all water-type team of Pokémon and battle against their peers in a competition.
The winner of the competition will become the head leader of that gym and will be required to face other trainers in battle when they are challenged (when they are online, obviously.)
The gym leader will have to use an all same-type based team (changes depending on the gym) but the challenging trainer will not be required to use an all same-type based team and may use whatever team combination that they please.
Gym leaders may step-down whenever they please if they no longer wish to be leader, in fact we may have at least 3 leaders per gym in case 1 or 2 doesn't care to battle the challengers that day or if one isn't available or what-have-you.
I hope that people like this idea and look forward to helping it grow.
I also plan to bring together an Elite Four team and an ultimate challenger. Trainers who wish to battle in the Elite Four will be required to have at least 6 badges from any of the 17 gyms before they can challenge the Elite Four.
