This is the main rp and takes place following the storyline on the home page. The profile skeleton is in the profile thread if you haven't been there yet. But without further ado, the opening post!
The king of Tolas sat rigid in his throne. The queen had fallen ill as of late and his scouts had reported Mezian movement towards his kingdom. The Benezians were also advancing around Mezian territory which was very unsettling. With the creak of the large metal doors a Mezian soldier was helped into the great hall as shouts were heard outside. The soldier was bleeding badly on his side and the Tolas guards helped him to kneel. The soldier then began to talk as if his message was the most important event of his life.
"The Benezian army has taken over Mezia. the king gave his life to kill the fifty thousand that opposed us but a second wave was on its way by the time we evacuated. I was hit with an arrow helping the council escape. Find the prince, save the Mezians, we beg of you!" The soldier went limp and the hall fell silent. The king clenched his fist with anger and stood with a purpose Tolas hadn't seen in years.
"Send out the cavalry to help with the movement of the Mezians! Then send some assassins to locate the prince, the captain should do. But make it very clear that they are to protect the prince and bring him here, not kill him. Wake the generals; tell them we are going to war!" The king took his halberd and all went to work as he exited the main hall.

Ren Tamir was standing in the shadows listening to the man's dying words. Hmm. The war has finally reached our doorstep. His thoughts were interrupted by the Kings voice. Hearing his orders Ren calmly walked out of the chamber to a room where he stayed. Gathering some rations, and his whetstone, he set out to find the prince, and bring him back.

Elecan awoke with a start, he had a vision in his sleep. Mezia was no more, the light was gone. He gripped his walking staff and helped himself up with a grunt of pain. Elecan hobbled out of his tent and looked around for a moment. It was early morning, the mercenaries were asleep and Aderin was no doubt passed out with his axe in his hand. Elecan walked into the tent opposite his to find Aderin in the state Elecan had guessed him in. To wake him up Elecan sent a small shock through Aderin's body and when he woke up Elecan spoke.
"The light has been dimmed my friend. The white army has gone to war and ice will not serve as a shield for long. Riders from the ice are no doubt coming to find us, we must aid them, for if we do not all life will perish."Elecan seemed sad, an unlike characteristic for him, in fact any emotion seemed to be odd for him. Elecan could only hope Aderin was up to this task.

Ren had been riding non-stop for a full day. Speed was of the essence here not stealth. He only stopped to stretch his legs and let his horse drink. I must be close. I doubt that he is traveling alone, I just hope that they come without much fuss.

Around midday Seig Hart stepped from his forge wearing only heavy leather pants and a towel around his neck and sweating profusely. He shielded his eyes with one large scared hand and looked around blinking sweat from his eyes he noticed that the people he dwarfed who normally walked by and stared at him seemed to be preoccupied with something this day. Seig wiped down his face and arms with the towel and stepped back into his forge to change into his everyday clothing which consisted of a pair of leather pants a sword belt and a white tunic covered by a leather vest with intricate designs roaming across the tanned hide. He stepped into the street towards the nearest group of people and laid a tattooed hand upon a tall mans shoulder. The man turned around startled and his mouth opened slightly as he looked up into the half Hakard half Human eyes that glanced down at him. Seig gave him a toothy smile and spoke in a calm voice.
Good morning sir, I will spare the small talk and get straight to the point so you may continue talking with your fellows but I must know. What is going on that has everybody so excited I have heard nonstop chatter since earlier this morning.
The man replied after a moment as the shock wore off. He let Seig know that a wounded messenger wearing Mezian armor had gone to the castle earlier and had brought word of an impending invasion by the Benezians and of a catastrophe at the Mezian capital. This made Seig frown and the man flinched slightly before Seig let him go and wandered back towards his forge his right hand had found its way to rest on the hilt of "Ice Wolf" at his hip mostly as a reflex. He scratched thoughtfully at the scar on his chin thinking about recent events, he had heard the rumblings in the darkness of the attack on Mezia and that perhaps battle would come to Talos next but hadn’t given it very much thought. Now though his blood ran cold and while his demeanor stayed the same on the inside he was alight with excitement. Seig had seen his fair share of battles large and small but this would surely be on another scale all together when two kingdoms collided. Surely he thought to himself that he would find worthy opponents with which to test his skills against and perhaps even end his life, that thought send a chill down his spine exciting him even more before another thought hit him and he muttered.
I suppose this means I'll be needing to start making more swords and armor, good thing I didn’t want to enjoy this beautiful day away from the forge for a change or anything...
Sarcasm, he thought to himself is good for the soul. (on a side note I apologize if I got any of the history or politics wrong)

Waking with a mere jolt, Aderin, still placed precautiously in his armor, furs, and his trusty axe in its natural death grip, he looked up to see the gloomy druid.. Still groggy, he merely nodded, knowing that all would be explained to him again, even though all he heard was a mumble of words, nothing he could pick out to make sense of what Elecan had said.."Yes, yes of course, first things first though, boy.. That being sleep."With that, he rolled onto his side, his axe placed neatly in his hands, facing away from him, and fell unceremoniously back to sleep with a heavy snore soon following.

The sharp clang of metal on metal rang out through the day from inside the forge. Occasionally soldiers or other men would come by to pick up weapons that had been sharpened or armor that had been repaired. After Seig had finished most of the custom he looked through his inventory and found that he had enough weapons and armor to supply quite a few soldiers should he be asked to give the army equipment. After a brief meal Seig went to the forge and circulated air through the cook and charcole until the forge was again red hot. From a wooden rack in the back of the room he took down several objects wrapped in cloth and laid them on a table, he then proceded to unravel the objects to reveal shimmering black armor with a crimson trim. There was the brestplate the helmet, gauntlets, grieves, a armored mantle to protect the shoulders, and lastly boots. Seig spent the next hour or so fixing any minor flaws and also sharpend both his blades on a whetting stone in the back.
Well it looks like I'll be ready when the time comes, one can only hope that the rest of the army is as well and has not become soft from the relative peacefullness we have enjoyed here.
He said as he wiped sweat from his brow and recovered his armor with cloth and put them back on the wall along with his blades. he then bathed quickly in a room connected to the forge by a small hallway that was hidden by a door the same color as the stone of the room. After bathing he donned his normal outfit of vest and pants and decided it was time to learn more, the best place to start would most likely be a tavern where he could see if any rumors seemed believable or were consistant.

((All masters are generals by the way.))
The King of Tolas came to Seig's forge and smiled at his forging General. The King's escort was wearing armor Seig had made, and the man had even trained them to fight.
"Ah my friend, even as a General the promotion means nothing to you. Some times I wonder if you only serve me so that you have a place to forge and fight off attackers."The King was in good spirits, an odd thing in times of war but it was a change, and oddly enough, it was a welcomed one.

Seig had just returned from the tavern when the king arrived. Seig bowed slightly in respect to the king and then took off his vest because of the heat. as he walked over to a hanger he began to speak.
Good day sir. I am happy to see your moods are high in this time of...pressure? Is that the word normal people use?
He hung his vest on the hook and tied his hair back using a piece of string and walked towards the wall where his armor and weapons lay And of course thats the only reason I serve you. No not really I jest. While those things are appreciated I can honestly say I enjoy serving you sir.
He took down "Ice Wolf" and slid it from the sheath a little bit glancing at the blade, the whetting stone had done wonders, while to the untrained eye it would look just as it did before to Seigs eyes he could see all the small knocks onthe blade evened out and by bringing a finger close to the blade without even applying pressure it now drew blood. He sheathed the blade without a word and turned towards the king again. I have heard the whispers of war my king, assuming these whispers are true what would you require of me?

Elecan, seeing no other way to rouse him. Decided that the trick he had thought of last night would work today. He focused for a moment and the earth opened up causing an undead to climb forth. Elecan talked to it for a moment and the undead nodded and lay down next to Aderin. It began moaning and shaking him with little bits of spit flying on to Aderin's face. Elecan was actually quite interested now, he wondered how Aderin would react so he sat down on a near by chair and observed as the undead went about its work.

The King chuckled for a moment and at Seig's serious question he paused and thought.
"I'm not exactly sure my friend. It is an odd thing, this new alliance. Once we have the prince I'm sure things will be more clear, however we've known the prince for quite some time it just hadn't occured to us that it was him. You remember that band of mercenaries led by the former prince of Hakards? Well that druid that was with them is the prince, some how I realized it, most likely some sort of spell but a good one at least. You may wish to take a group to see the last of the Mezians get here safely, we dispatched a cavalry group last night but they have not returned. I suspect things got complicated."The King lowered his head, he did not believe the people to be dead, however it was a possibility.

Ren stood in the shadows of the trees. He had ridden through the night to get here. Hesitating, he seen the druid summon an undead. It intrigued him, so he remained hidden. Once the Undead creature laid down, Ren thought it better to not waist anymore of the day, and stepped out. "Are you the prince?" Ren asked in a deep commanding voice.

Hmmm yes I seem to recall a druid and certainly the old prince of the Hakard...ha-ha yes one of the few men I've seen bigger then myself. By the way what brings you out here anyway? Isn’t there some paperwork or fancy cheese you should be eating at the castle?
He unceremoniously threw himself into a chair and grabbed a side of beef from a plate on his table and tore a piece off then washed it down with a drink of ale all the while thinking about what he had been told.
Cavalry was sent to find them eh? I hope they yet live but I can understand why they may be late. Refugees will obviously slow them down...what was their location supposedly anyway? Maybe the ride took longer than expected?

With an almost childish squeal as he woke with a start. Scooting back quickly, he noted the undead and as it was the only one, justifying his sense that the dead were in fact not coming back for his atonement of his sins, he merely sat there laughing in front of it. Seeing Elacen out of the corner of his eye, he made a swift, fluid diving motion, immediately taking the skull of the undead by the eye sockets, hurling his new projectile directly above Elecans head. As it made impact, it shattered completely shards of it powdering Elecams head. Im not interested in games right now Elecan. At this very moment in fact, the only thing that interests me is another two hours of peaceful sleep. I run by my schedule. Not yours. With that, he layer back out, taking the axe back into it's death grip, shutting his eyes once more, he left consciencenous almost immediately.

Elecan nodded and then looked at the man who had entered.
"Protatus Captain, I know why you have come. However sleep has taken Aderin. I could force him to wake up, but I fear he would take his rage out on you as he gave up trying to hurt me six years, seven hours, and six minutes ago."Elecan spoke as if everyone said things exactly as he did which added to any confusion. But as a druid, this was only to be expected.
