We, the Crafty Witches, have an important announcement. And it’s a bit of a sad one…



You see, remember that vileness called Real Life? Apparently it has claimed our beloved Hardhatcat. As such, she has temporarily stepped down as a Crafty Witch to deal with that irritating beast who has taken her from us.



*shakes fist at Real Life from her barricade*

*sniffles again*



Our beautiful Aussie gal has been updating the links with us for about a year now, and has been a great source of Tim Tams…I mean, crafty goodness. But beyond that, she’s been an amazing friend and excellent Crafty Witch.



*clings to Cat hard*



Please join me in wishing her all the best!!! (but don’t get in the way of my clinging or I’ll go Princess on you!)



As such, the Crafty Witches will be looking take on a couple of new minions…I mean, Crafty Witches. We will be taking applications from the brave few willing to take on the job.



What is it we do, exactly? Well, each of us have our own job within the Crafty Room, and lemme tell you, it’s NOT sitting around eating bonbons and knitting. We are all volunteers for Leaky and it does take time to do what we do. But more than that, we are friends who spend time online chatting with each other, and cheering each other on.



Right now we are looking to fill 2 positions…



Gallery Keyworder/Forum Moderator

* Responsible for working with Crafty Witch Mary to tag photos that are uploaded to the Crafts Gallery.
* Responsible for adding links from The Leaky Cauldron's Harry Potter Crafts section to their corresponding Leaky Lounge threads, as they become available.
* Check the crafts forum daily and respond to any members that have posted, or forward any questions to another Crafty Witch if outside the area of expertise.

Super! Jenn's Minion Slave Sidekick Assistant of Doooooommmm!!

* Responsible for making Crafty Witch birthday posts in the staff room of Leaky the day prior to said Witch's birthday.
* Responsible for doing the Leaky Round-up, when requested, which is read by the PotterCast Trio during recording.
* Responsible for doing Crafty Witch group e-mails of special bulletins, Monday posts, calls to arms, etc., that Super! Jenn may need done.
* This is an evolving position. Tasks will be added slowly, as the person becomes comfortable and ready for more.



Interested parties may request an application by emailing Super!Jenn (Jennifer@the-leaky-cauldron.org) with the subject line: “I Want To Be A Crafty Witch!” You will be emailed as soon as possible and you will have until Mar 29, 2009 to send it back to us. Shortly thereafter, we hope to announce our newest witches (or wizards).
