since feeling is first
who pays any attention
to the syntax of things
will never wholly kiss you;
wholly to be a fool
while Spring is in the world

my blood approves,
and kisses are a better fate
than wisdom
lady i swear by all flowers. Don't cry
—the best gesture of my brain is less than
your eyelids' flutter which says

we are for each other: then
laugh, leaning back in my arms
for life's not a paragraph

And death i think is no parenthesis

Wow. That E. E. Cummings guy confuses me. I can never figure out his stuff. One thing I did glean from that poem, though, is that when he kisses his girl his "blood approves"--which says to me, he lusts after her. Truth be told, almost any male's blood will approve of almost any female. In my experience.

JoSlifer:
ALMOST any female, eh? lol

This is kinda phenomenological. I do think some form of syntax is necessary for "normal" perceptions in our social life though.

Yes, almost. Some females are off-limits to even the most libidous male. Your mom, the president's wife... wait... people have already had sex with those people...
