I'd go with Smash brothers series. Timeless and Epic.

I'd probably have to agree with you. No other game combines all major Nintendo characters and lets you battle with them! Plus, it's like one of those arcade fighting games, only with platforms and items!

Indeed, my favorite part is that you can combine say link and mario in the same game with out terrible plot twists.

I would have to agree with you also. A game that combines so many favorites, is a RPG, and is a duel game can almost never be beat.

Ninja Gaiden is pretty sick

I haven't played others than NES/SNES Ninja Gaidens so far
I loved NES Ninja Gaiden because of it's PERFECT controls but perfect controls don't protect you from those damn birds... *sigh*
One thing about it that annoyed me was all those random enemies and some bugs... I mean it had everything, football players, boxers, dogs, birds, punks, knights, etc. and it was killer how some enemies just appeared out of nowhere or suddenly respawned...

Or maybe my favorite game is The Legend Of Zelda Majoras mask.
