 "Mommy, i can't sleep..." "What's wrong dear?"
"Someone's always playing music! It's really pretty, but it's annoying!" "Oh, don't say that! Here, i'll tell you a story, how about that? This is actually the story of why that music can always be heard..."A long time ago, families all throughout town had that problem and would always tell their kids the same story. Once upon a time, there was a noble family of lords that lived outside the small town in a beautiful mansion. The wife of the lord at the time had just given birth to a baby boy, and the son's father couldn't be more overjoyed to have a strong young heir to the family fortune. Unfortunately, that was the year that all further misfortune seemed to spawn from. It started when the parents learned that their son had a strange illness, causing his health to be frail and delicate. Unfortunate, but nothing major. The boy, forbidden from going outside for his own well-being, grew up happy inside, though he'd often long to play in the garden he could only see from afar. He was 9 when his mother passed away due to another illness. As he grew older, his free time became absorbed in his studies and other indoor activities like fencing, reading, painting, and a variety of other art-based things, becoming especially fond of all forms of music. Singing, dancing, playing any instrument, he could do it all though only those within the mansion could see him. At the age of 18, his father was trampled by a runaway horse while on an outing into town. The boy had become the soul heir to the fortune, though some servants found it a waste as they all knew it was only a matter of time before their needy master would die early. A split formed between the truely loyal servants, and those that plotted their master's downfall. The boy was found one summer night with a knife in his back, slumped over the piano. A massacre between the servants broke out over the death of the boy until not a single living soul was left.
Present day, and the mansion remains untouched on the edge of town-turned city. If you listen closely over the city noises, you can hear the fragile sound of a violin or the flowing tune of a piano coming from the old house. Those who know the story will tell you thats the boy that once lived there so many years ago. Having never been allowed to go outside, he never got the chance to find love. Now they say his soul still haunts the house, waiting to find that special someone and hoping that the gods will give him a second chance to be with them. Some people even claim that they've seen the ghostly figures of his servants walking the streets at night; the truly loyal ones whose souls continue to serve their master after death. The story has spread lately, and a lot of talk has been going around as to what will become of the old house. Some say it'll be torn down, while others have been saying it'll be fixed up and turned into a city landmark. Whatever the reason, it's only a matter of time before the house begins receiving guests and visitors of all sorts. "Grandma, do you think that boy's ghost will ever find his special someone?"
"That depends, dearie...Are you willing to go see him for yourself?"

Rules
1. I. Am. GOD!!...ESS!! GODDESS!!! 2. No cybering. It's icky, and no one wants to read about what you do in bed. XP 3. That means keep everything PG-13. Romance, any fighting, cursing, etc. 4. For the love of socks, be LITERATE people!! At least semi-literate! I get very annoyed if i see one-liners in great abundance. -_- If you have writer's block, that's fine, just make sure you're somehow interacting with someone else, or we'll have a big ol' one-liner-palooza and then i'll be pissed. And you won't like me when im pissed. 5. PM me all profiles! Title them 'Can you hear the music?' if you're an outsider and 'Still loyal from beyond the grave!' if you're a servant! 6. Rules are subject to change, and i may or may not tell do. Depends on my memory at the time. ^^;; 8. THERE IS NO 7!!! Put that somewhere in your profile so i know you read the rules.

((two servants, three outsiders...im happy, lets start!! biggrin *cuts ribbon with giant scissors*))
Kaito sighed as he stood in the doorway to the ballroom. the room was completely empty and if you looked hard enough in some places, you could still see a few small bloodstains leftover from the massacre his servants had committed in his name so many years ago and hadn't managed to entirely clean up in their afterlives. he'd only gotten to attend a few grand balls that his father threw yearly and had gotten to dance with a few ladies, but there was never enough time to find out what they were like. he always had, and still continued to dream of dancing across that floor with his own princess, literally or otherwise. he just walked on to the music room some doors down and ran his hand over the piano lid as he walked around and sat down on the piano bench before starting to play. it seemed like music helped take his mind off of his situation, just as it did back then when he wasn't allowed to go outside. in fact, the servants that haunted the house with him still wouldn't let him go outside as he was still subject to occasional coughing fits.

((Yay!))
Two ghostly siblings stood not too far from Kaito. While Mitsuki Kuromori showed a little more leway towards Kaito, Takeshi Kuromori did not, as he was the one who made sure Kaito never left the house.
Mitsuki sighed softly, smiling as she listened to Kaito play on his piano. When she was alive, she had been a little young to be a servant, but she didn't care, for her older brother Takeshi was already a servant too and allowed her to join him. But when the massacre of the servants had occured, Mitsuki was the most violent, completely enraged over the death of Kaito, whom she consider a really good friend over a master of sorts.
Takeshi stood emotionless, admiring the music but gazing more at the environment within the mansion. The bloodstains brought back horrid memories. He recalled the massacre unwillingly, where his younger sister, rather violent at the time, had been killed during an attack on one of the older and more experienced servants. Overcome with grief, Takeshi ended up taking his own life in order to join his beloved sister. Quickly he shook off the memory, inhaled deeply, walking off to another room of the mansion.

"You know if you like it so much, i'll gladly teach you how to play..." Kaito said looking over at Mitsuki after Takeshi left, knowing he'd scold him for attempting something so 'un-noble'. "It's not like we don't have the time after all, right?" he said with a smile before pausing his song and coughing a bit.

Mitsuki smiled softly. She knew she would probably get into trouble with her brother when she got caught, but when was the last time she even listened to her brother's scolding? She couldn't even remember. "That would be great," she replied sincerely, smiling warmly.
Takeshi, meanwhile, was looking into a few cookbooks in the kitchen. It had been a long time since he even tried to cook.

Kaito smiled and moved over on the piano bench to make room for Mitsuki as he patted the now-available spot. "Then take a seat, and i'll go see if i can't find my old books when i was still learning, okay?"

Mitsuki nodded with a small smile and sat. She examined the keys on the piano... They didn't seem too hard. There were a lot of them though...

a few minutes later, Kaito came back with a few kids' books on playing the piano. "They're pretty old, but i doubt that'll be a problem..." he said blowing away a thick layer of dust on them, sending a cloud of the stuff into the air and causing Kaito to have a coughing fit.

Mitsuki bit her lip, refusing to panic as he coughed. She prayed Takeshi wouldn't hear and searched through her pockets for something she normally gave him when he coughed. She had made it herself long ago and it always worked well.

"Even in death, im still sick..." Kaito sighed as he put a hand to his chest and caught his breath. "At least you all can stop worrying that i'll cough up blood next." he said as he walked back over and set up the music books, clearing his throat a bit so as not to start another fit later.

Mitsuki sighed, pulling out the medication to make sure it was the right one before pocketing it safely so she would remember where it was. "Next time it happens I have the medication you liked in handy," she assured him softly with a small smile.
