So, my friends and I are in college and they have all read twilight. I feel too old to read it, well I'm just 18 but still. I gave it a go though... and I feel that I don't think I can catch on to it as well. Not as well as my friends in college or any other fan girl will.
Does anyone share this opinion?! or not? and why?
Cause, I not only think the book is too simple in grammar wise, but the drama of it seems really cliche and just horrible. I got as far as the middle of the second book... and haven't gone any farther lol xD

As a book-lover who stays the hell away from fiction, I obviously have not read it. Judging just by its cover though, is it safe to assume the Twilight series is similar to Harlequin romance novels?

Twilight is dangerous, anti-feminist, repulsive, and tripe.
I think the author's hands should be cut off. mad
This is not my usual rant. I can go on for half an hour. I won't. Just trust me. And if you haven't read it, for the sake of all things good, DON'T!

@ Nom: what are they about specifically?
@ Wings: I know! I think the author is horrible. I'm glad I'm not reading it, but I tink I'll be watching it next week when it comes out on DVD... I wish my friends would stop pressuring me to finish it. I know I'm not gonna ever, it's so annoying.

XD There are some really groan-worthy parts, but it's fun to laugh at. My friends tried to get me to give the book a try. I got to chapter five and was offended in all literary senses, and then some non-literary ones too. I stated that I simply could not go on.

[.Jewl.] @ Nom: what are they about specifically Economics, as usual. I got a bit of stuff about urban planning that I've yet to look into.

I don't know what you're all on about... I quite enjoyed Twilight. And New Moon, and Eclipse, and Breaking Dawn. I also liked the movie--not because it represented the book, but because it so drastically didn't and I didn't expect it to at all. It fulfilled my expectations exactly, so I loved it. The soundtrack is also quite good--I'm listening to it now.
"The author" to which y'all refer is Stephanie Meyer, and she's a fine writer. At least, the four books of hers that I read were good. I haven't tried The Host or anything yet... Mainly because a high school senior trying for valedictorian doesn't have time to read for fun. You may notice I haven't been online in a while (you may not, too-- doesn't matter either way).
