S t o r y l i n e . . .
In this world, they say you are connected to your destined person by a red thread tied to each of your left pinkies.
This person is supposed to be your soulmate; the person you spend forever with - the person you will be eternally happy with.
What happens, though, when life throws challenges and confusing situations your way? You go through heartbreaks, disappointment... you never want to feel love again.
What about after you meet your soulmate, and still the tough times hit you, one after the other? Will you be able to pull through?
The setting is Mount Alison university, located in Canada, New Brunswick. It's a famed university, and many who attend are what you would consider 'nerds', but in reality, it's for those who are very smart.
Will you even know your soulmate when you see them?
This isn't your typical 'love at first sight'.

N-kun13 Notes about the RP and University in general: - It is Mid Winter in Canada and masses of snow cover the ground! - There is a large cafeteria in the main building of the University where Students can eat and relax during break times. - Break Times would be any time between your study sessions. - There are no study sessions during Weekends. - The amount of free time one has depends on the amount of courses they are attending. - For one course it might be around 3 to 4 sessions in a week, it may be doubled for each additional course (around 6 to 8 for 2 courses). Otherwise you are left to your own devices to study and learn. - University courses range widely and there are many different subjects available. The sun was shining through a thicket of deep grey clouds which covered most of the sky. It looked like a brand new blanket of snow would fall over the school over the course of the day.
A large circular clock, placed over the front entrance to the main building, revealed that the time was just past 9am. The night classes had stopped some hours back and the first day classes were starting at 10am.
Everything was peaceful with only a few people hurrying around the courtyard to the warmth inside of the main building.
Nicholas sat on his black messenger bag in the snow under the shadow of a tree. His eyes looked rather tired under his glasses and were fixed on the pages of a text book. He held the book wide open with both hands. His only movement was the turning of pages which he used his tail for.
His tail was white, partly because frost covered most of it. The same went for the tip of his cat-like ears but otherwise they matched the blue of his hair. He seemed to be generally dressed in black. He had a black blazer on, black trousers and black shoes. From afar it might look like he wore white gloves but in fact his fingers appeared as if they had frozen bone white, the same with his expressionless face. There were dark rings around his eyes, revealing how little he slept. One could easily make the mistake of thinking that Nicholas had frozen solid on that spot except for the small movement of his tail.
To be more precise, he was reading the advanced games programming text book which students were allowed to borrow from the library or computing department. He was going to have an exam later that day. His mind often got lost in day dreams but he was trying to concentrate somewhat hard on his reading. He had a reputation as a top grade student and so some would argue he did not need to study so hard. Although it could be argued agaisnt easily with the idea that he only had such achievements because of his studying.

 ~Amanda Jade. Amanda shivered as she stood, gazing out over the snow. It was so cold! The wind bit her face and nipped at any exposed skin her jacket, scarf, mittens, pants, and hat might either have missed, or were too thin to completely protect her. In her shaking hands she held a camera, and was trying to see which was the best angle to capture the beautiful landscape from under her fluffy white hat. "Mr. Peters is relentless..." she muttered shakily, a small puff of white fog drifting from her mouth as she spoke. "I can't believe he gave us an assignment, today of all days!" Even though Amanda grew up in Canada, she was always susceptible to the cold temperatures. She hated it, even though she should have considered herself lucky to live near the water, which lessened the cold. Her best friend Rae had laughed at her when Amanda told her about the assignment, which certainly didn't help her nasty mood. She rubbed her hands together as best as she could with the camera, raised it to her eye, and began to scan the area, wondering what she should take a picture of, and secretly wishing her photography teacher would freeze in his office.

Alanna strolled through the grounds of the university. Her class had just ended and she was no her break. The cold didn't bother her at all and she loved the sight of snow. It almost reminded her of her hometown back in Russia and she smiled at the old memories. She had chosen to come here to find a better education and it all seemed to go well for her at the moment. She pulled down her black fur-lined hood and pulled out a book from her messenger bag wanting to get some studying done during her break.

Mitsuki Kuromori walked through the somewhat empty halls in the school, hands in her pockets. She was whistling the battle music for Sekigahara, which was found in the game Samurai Warriors 2. All of her homework was done, her assignments were complete. It was just like always, she studied and worked relentlessly on the night she received the assignment, until she was finished. It didn't matter what time it was, she'd make sure it was done.--- Derek McCarthy examined the snow-covered grounds with a small content smile on his face. The campus here was far more lovely than back in his home in Ireland. He loved it. Derek simply hoped the work was more easier than back home. He chuckled to himself. Yeah, like that would ever happen!

Lorelai rocked slowly as she composed her music. The sound drifting from the piano in a smooth elegant sound that reverberated in the auditorium. Her thoughts not even thinking about the peer judges below the stage.
Luka stood by the table, his steady hand on the scapel as the instructor told them what to look for. He could see the gull bladder and intestines. He saw the small tumor that misshapened the stomach wall. It was barely noticeable but if you just skimmed your finger over it, you could feel the slight raise of the stomach wall.

Light gigled as she dusted off the snow off her jacket and tail. She smelled the cold brisk air as she was making her way from class. She was done with her Astonomy exams for the day and decided to mess around for break. She put on her ipod listening to Nico Nico Douga. She smiled as she walked half prancing.
A girl with a camera stood in the snow. She looked frozen. Lulu giggled and turned around with her back facing the camera. She began to stare at the little movement in the trees. " Curiousity killed the cat," And she ran towards the trees morphing into a cat, leaving her bag there. She was a white cat with black and orange smudges all over her body.
The cat meowed and her collar jingled. She always wore her bell on her collar, even when she was in human form. Ahhh...boring. Its just that Nicholas person. The cat was out of sight so she morphed back behind a tree. " Hello Nick," She said. Light waved and plopped right next to him. " Cold much?" and giggled.

~Amanda Jade. Amanda blinked in surprise when she spotted a girl in her view, then suddenly turned into a cat. She held the camera closer, focusing into the lens and smiled. An innocent girl, having a nice day, frolicking in the winter snow... perfect! She could even pull it off by throwing in some emotional crap. Teachers loved stuff like that. Amanda zoomed in, and noticed that the girl was with a boy. A light frown settled on her face as she recognized the boy's face. She had seen him around campus before. Was it just her, or was he very attractive? ...Was it just her, or did he look even more handsome with the snow falling around him? Without even thinking, she stared, and started to get her angles right, trying to catch the lighting. She wanted a picture of this guy. Definitely.
