Brief Description of your Pride/Pack: The Tangambili is a pack located in the mountains where the wind sings and howls against the rocks. Members of the pack are often heard singing with it in the moonlight, calling to the Goddess of the Wind. As the pack continues to grow, so does their song in hopes of one day calling down the Wind to encompass it in their souls.

Pride/Pack History: The Tangambili started off small, like any other pack. They were a small collection of dogs of packs that had fallen apart in the changing world, brought together by the winds. They traveled up the mountains where they could hear the wind singing to them, all hoping to hear the voice of the goddess.
As time moved on, the dogs fell into their roles, leading or hunting. Curiously, special dogs began to hear whispers of the Gods - these special dogs are highly regarded, raised up and praised as being able to hear the Gods talking, small whispers against the wind of past, present - and even future - events.
What the pack truly wanted was a home, and anything they could do to protect their new home. The Wind had all brought them here, and they celebrate it with their songs.

Pack RanksRoyal Ranks Regent: The older generation of the royals. They are often up in their years and have stepped down, but still teach the leader of the pack and tell stories to the pack’s children, much like Elders. Alpha: The Leader of the pack, can be male or female. This role can be inherited or passed on to a worthy suitor or taken by force. Consort: The Alpha’s mate(s). Can be male or female. Heir: The one that will become the next Alpha - not always the Alpha’s child or a pup. Special Ranks Elder: the older generation of the pack. Those who are wise with their years and can give advice. They often tell stories to the pack’s young. May help with other tasks Whisperer: Seers of the pack. They are said to be able to interpret the wind and/or can hear the gods speaking. Not all seers take on the role of a whisperer and are not looked down upon for it. Leader Jobs Lead Hunter: Skilled hunters that can lead the hunt. Often the oldest and most experienced, but not always. General: Head Guard to lead the pack in battle. Often the oldest and most experienced, but not always. They are normally pretty close with the Lead Hunter. In case of war situations, they must mobilize both Hunters and Guards to protect the pack. Job Ranks Sentry: A Guard who has sharp eyes and can see great distances. They often have avian companions, rather than klipspringers. They alert the pack when there is danger and begin the mobilization process in war situations. Guard: Most often, the guards simply protect the borders of the pack and make sure no one coming through their lands is a threat to the pack. They are warriors in wartime situations. Hunter: Those who hunt (meats) and provide food for the pack. Usually part of a hunting party lead by a Lead Hunter. They often double as warriors in wartime situations. Gatherer: Those who gather (nuts, berries, grasses, etc.) and provide food for the pack. Artisan: Those who fashion items for the pack, often out of things the hunters and gatherers. bring in. Extra coats are often made for dogs and their companions who have thinner coats. Healer: they take care of the sick and injured. They double as midwives if the situation calls for it. Youth Ranks Journeyman: An Adol or Adult who has left the pack for a short time to learn about the role they will take on. Not all Dogs leave the pack to learn, but some do. Often they will go with their teacher, but otherwise will find their own. Journeymen who don’t return are considered deceased. Apprentice: Adols in the pack. Student: Juves in the pack. Youth: Pups in the pack. Companions Familiars in the pack - usually Klipspringers. Avians: Most often aid the sentries in watching the pack and raising alert to dangers. Klipspringer: While small, they are really useful. With their special hooves, they can climb high into the mountains and down steep slopes to get things otherwise unreachable. They are the main familiar in this area, though others are not uncommon.

Basic Background:
The Tangambili started out as an eclectic group of dogs from several different disbanded packs and rogues. All of their ideas and experiences came together to form this pack, and they have a young leader who became one out of necessity, rather than real training. She leads the best she can with the help of a seer advisor. The group travelled together before making their way up a mountain, where they stayed. Area/Location and Territory Information The Tangambili reside high up in the mountain where it's mostly cold all year and snows in the winter. They're said to live where the Mountains Sing. The winds can range from a gentle breeze to harsh, cold winds pretty quickly as the dogs get higher up. A small river and waterfall run through the center of the lands. The waterfall is the Gathering place of the pack and is the central-most location. The rest of the lands are rocky or thick with trees.
