Forbidden Broadway, which is insanely funny sometimes, spoofs shows. On Forbidden Broadway Volume 3, Track 13 is what they call the Michael Crawford Sequence.

"Put On Your Phony Voice" and "All I Ask Of You" are the songs.
"Put On Your Sunday Clothes" is from Hello, Dolly, I believe.

I also think Homer dressed up as the Phantom in an episode.

Does anyone know any other spoofs or allusions to Phantom, other than all of the movie versions?

Bravo, bravo. heart

Let's see. I know N*SYNC or the Backstreet Boys did a music video in which there was a Phantom cameo. The children's show Wishbone also had a Phantom episode that was surprisingly good, as well. One of the Gremlins' movies had a Phantom cameo as well. A BBC series called Gormenghast also has a last episode that could be watched alone and be considered Phantom, more or less -- very good series and... that's all that's coming to mind.

There are millions of others though.

Nightwish has redone The Phantom of the Opera song on one of their C.D.'s.

That's actually a terribly good version of the titlesong. I was very impressed for someone who does not like much modern music of that nature. An operatically trained, classical singer with.... a rock-ish metal sort of band? I'm not sure what the category would be, but it's an interesting mixture.

The woman's voice was suitable, but the man's voice frightened me.

Me First and the Gimme Gimmes did some broadway showtune spoofs; Phantom of the Opera included. It's on my site if anyone cares.

There was an episode of Doug in which DOug had a pimple and Pattie (the girl he likes) comes up behind him and pulls a paper bag off his head. First Phantom Parody I can ever recall... even now, when I try to look at the book from an outside persepective, I see that episode...

The techno version is rather odd. I prefer the Nightwish version one, though. That one is rather fun.

In "Heart in the City" (Sunday newpaper comic), the girl Heart dressed up as the Phantom and was outside on the fire escape singing Musici of the Night; her mom told her to come in so she wouldn't catch a cold and Heart said something liek "She just doesn't appricate the Music of the Night." or something like that.

I heard somewhere there was a Phantom of the Opera DDR mix....is that just the techno version or something different?
