So, you want to breed your Aeons?
Any two Aeons who have reached the adult stage may breed, though it is not a sexual process. When two Aeons form a strong emotional attachment to one another, some of the pyreflies that make them up separate and merge together, forming baby Aeons, if you will. If two Aeons of different species breed the offspring will be either one or the other; it is rare to have mutations that allow traits of the races to blend, but sometimes small features do appear on the children.
A breeding results in two Aeons standard, three if the couple is RPed together. The roleplay must transcend casual interaction for it to be considered a roleplayed couple, however. Not every two Aeons will breed for love, and maybe they won't even fall in love, but there needs to be some kind of attraction evident.
From each breeding, owners may only keep one Aeon. The excess may be given away to friends, resold to the shop, or given away in a contest of some sort. If you would like to hold a contest for one or more of your Aeons that are the result of a breeding, send a PM to the mule and you'll more than likely be given the go-ahead.
Breedings will be opened up at the colorist's discretion, though usually there will be one a month, if any at all. They'll be done in raffle style, where the forum will be opened to posts for a certain amount of time, owners may enter their Aeons, and then numbers will be drawn.
If a pair breeds, there is a three month "cool-down" period where they may not breed again until this time has passed.
