It was a quiet afternoon and a nice one at that.
The sun was shining and Poison, a brightly coloured bandit, had been napping under a tree for about an hour or so.
He slowly opened his eyes, blinking a few times and then stretched and yawned and stretched once more.
That had been a nice nap, now something else that would be nice would be food.
He got up and spent a few minutes grooming, he didn't like it when his fur was hopelessly messy.
After doing that, he started prowling around, looking for any trash cans with potential food in them.
He peeked around a corner just in time to see someone throw out a big bag of garbage.
He waited patiently until the human was gone from sight, before slowly moving towards the trash can.
Being pretty agile, it was nothing to him to jump onto the trash can and he made swist process with the lid, making as little sound as possible while removing it.
It was a very big garbage bag that had been placed there and oh how he hoped that there would be something yummy inside to eat.
He clawed at the bag, making a hole to take a look at the contents.
The first few things he found were a couple of empty cans and milk cartons.
He wrinkled his nose at that, but after removing the cans and cartons, he found something yummy indeed.
A half chocolate cake was in the trash and it didn't seem like anything was wrong with it.
His tail wagged excitedly as he dug out the cake.
He was usually not this lucky when it came to finding something yummy to eat and soon he was munching away on the cake.

As far as days went for Rakitia, this was fairly the same. Mundane and boring. Then again, who else was as up to the task at creating entertainment like she could for herself. She was romping on people's roofs. She had just that morning been chased out of someone's house after decending down the chimney to land on an old laundry chute. Apparently, humans don't like surprise visits.
That was hours ago, and Rakitia was rather put out for something else at least half as entertaining as that. However, hunger is a bandit's best friend and worst enemy. Nothing can strangle a pursuit for fun like a rumbling in the tummy. She noted she hadn't felt hungry before. What brought this on?
As she paused to think about it, she caught the scent. The smell of.. nearly fresh chocolate on the spring afternoon air. What else can tame the heart of a wild girl like Rakitia. CHOCOLATE!

Poison was happily munching on the cake, taking time to lick his lips every so often, just so he wouldn't get chocolate cake in his whole face, because when it all came down to it, he was just a touch vain.
He peeked through the bag to see what other goodies it could possibly hold.
Further into the bag was some stale bred, a couple of nearly rotten apples and some sweet bisquits.
The biscuits smelled good too, so he grabbed one to much on, thankful that he had found a great selection of food in this bag.
His ears twitched suddenly, he could have sworn that he had heard something, was someone around?
He grabbed a few more of the bisquits and some of the chocolate cake, holding it close, in case it was something he needed to run away from.
Slowly he moved towards the edge of the trash can and peeked outside, not sure what he was going to see, but definately hoping that it wasn't a big dor or cat, or worse, a human.

When Rakitia was nearly upon the trash can, she exhaled a long gentle sigh. "Chocolate cake... Oh.. chocolate cake.. where art thou mine long lost friend?" Then, she giggled at herself. It was only in the company of chocolate that anyone would hear her talking that way. She was mischevious and rather tomboyish at times.
Finally standing at the base of the trash can, she looked up and saw a rather colorful lop of fur dangling. Oh.. Someone found it before her. She grabbed a handful of the end of that tail, and she gently gave it a few pulls. Sort of like ringing a church bell... or a doorbell.. if you could ring someone's house to alert them you were there.

Yes of course he had been turned in the wrong direction, because suddenly he felt someone tug on his tail.
His eyes widened and he quickly spun around, seeing another bandit at the trash can.
He sighed in relief, it had not been anything dangerous, so he let his guards down just a knotch.
"Hi." He said to the other bandit, while placing the bisquits and cake on the bag, as there was no need to cling to them for dear life now.

Rakitia looked up at him. She narrowed the uncovered eye in the direction of the cake. Oh there it was. That was a prize to be had oh yes. After wafting in its intoxicating aroma, she looked up at this rather colorful bandit's face.
While Rakitia was frequently tomboyish, she wasn't beyond willing to play nice and feminine to gain something of wondrous value. Value... valuable just like that cake.
"Hello there, handsome. Aren't you talented being able to juggle so many baked goods at once. Maybe I can come hold one, so you won't drop it all?" She gave a good crouch before leaping up on the can. She landed on the other side of the can. She positioned herself steady, so she wouldn't fall.
She was handling herself all too well on these cans. Much better than your average female coon.

Poison grinned at that.
"Heh I was just getting ready to make a run for it, in case a dog or something came along." He explained, watching as she with easy jumped onto the can.
"Now that I know nothing dangerous is around I dont need to be juggling all this food." He added, putting down the cake and biscuits.
"You hungry? There is tons of this stuff in the bag here." He said with a smile.
He didn't mind sharing, even if it was cake, because he was pretty sure that the other had maybe smelled said cake from far away.
Heck even he could smell something that good even if he wasn't all that close.

Rakitia grinned cordially. Not the shy one. Definitely not her. She leaned forward a little holding onto the side of the can, but she leaned forward to sniff the aroma of the cake.
"I wasn't hungry until I smelled this little golden morsel you found. Nothing like a giant chunk of still mostly fresh chocolate cake to slay the hearts of even the most wild females."
She held her hands together making a feigned whimsical gesture as though she were daydreaming of being romantisized by this here cake.

Poison grinned at that, so she had indeed smelled the cake.
He picked up a piece, offering it to her.
"You want it?" He asked, throwing in a smile.
She seemed fun, not like most other females that he had met, not that he found females boring, it was just that they mostly weren't into having a good time prowling around trash cans in this area.

Her nose twitched, and her tail flickered behind her. "Yes, if you don't mind sharing." She was making every attempt to play nice and just take it from him. She was the type of girl to just take what she wanted, but he was willing enough to give it up.
She threw him a smile right back, but her smile quickly turned into a devious grin. She couldn't help herself. She couldn't repress who she really was. "What nice weather to share an almsot fresh chocolate cake.. with a random boy... You know it takes some balance and skill to be able to sit on the rim of the can without fallin in or knocking it over."
She sat up feeling proud. She knew full well it would also be a compliment to him. For, he was sitting just the same as she was.

"Not at all." Poison said, offering her a big chunk of cake.
She seemed nice, but he got the feeling that there was more to this female than met the eye.
He grinned at what she said.
It was true, they had just met by chance and now they were sharing chocolate cake, it was not something that was too common, because as Poison had found out, it was every bandit for himself when it came to food.
"You think so?" He said when seeing her sit up like he did himself.
It made him happy to get a compliment like that so he smiled.
"Oh by the way, my name is Poison." He said when realizing that he hadn't introduced himself yet.
He thought he might as well do so since they were sitting there together and eating.

She accepted the cake with glowing, hungry eyes. She took it in hand showing she wasn't concerned with getting frosting on her hands. She scarfed it down. She had thought maybe she should eat it slower to savor the taste of the chocolate, but the overpowering smell prevented her from thinking that through.
"Oh, I definitely think so." She gave him a playful wink as she licked off her paw whatever frosting was still on it. Then, she scooted over closer to him being careful not to throw the can with too much weight on one side.
She leaned over to wink at him again as she began to hold herself in several flirtatious positions. "Would you be so great a guy as to let me have a little more? This really is so good. Who in their right mind throws out such a delectable treat like this? Dumb humans..."

Poison grinned when seeing the female scarf down the cake so fast, but he couldnt say he blamed her, it did taste really good.
He broke off another piece to nibble on himself as well.
Was it not for his colour of fur, there would have been an apparent blush on Poisons face when the other winked at him and moved closer and he wasn't even sure why, but then again he wasn't usually around females like this, not ones that seemed to be much like him that was.
He smiled and nodded.
"Of course, there is plenty." He replied, offering her a bigger piece this time.
"Humans are really strange when it comes to throwing things out, sometimes it's really good stuff like this cake." He added.
He didn't understand why they were like that, but it was good all the same, that way there was yummy food for bandits like himself.

Wow! What a guy! What a true.. admirable bandit she was thinking he was. He wasn't afraid to get dirty.. rip open the bag. She smiled at him with a genuine smile and not just her smirky grin she gave everyone.
"You are so right! That's why i love the trash! It's like.. You never know what you find everyday! Everyday... a new bag of trash.. whole new possibilities.. Even something that went real bad... You can always use it to stick in teh dog house of a dog who was trying to bite you!"
She took more cake, and she ate it the same was as before. She just wasn't the girlie girlie type.

Seeing her smile like that made Poison smile too, he wasn't sure why, but he was finding that he definately liked this girl, she had a great personality and she was pretty good looking too.
He blushed again at that thought, he didn't usually think like this.
He chuckled at her mention of what to do with the stuff that had gone real bad.
"Heh that's totally not a bad idea and I know a few dogs that would deserve that too." He replied with a grin.
