Why does every black guy think that I owe him something, because their ancestors where slaves and my ancestors owned slaves. Ok, fine. I'd feel bad for you if you actually had to be a slave, but you aren't, and I've never owned a slave. By this time their response, if they can think of one, usually has something to do with the white man coming and taking Africans by force. True, but a lot of the African slaves where captured by other Africans and sold to the white man.

Sometimes they go off about how great Africa is. This is my favorite part of the argument, if it makes it this far. These people start listing all these things that are great about Africa; the exotic animals, the beautiful savanna and dense jungle, and all the culture that goes with it, however they always forget the most important part: everything in Africa is trying to kill you. the exotic animals, like lions, hyenas, and vultures; they will kill and eat you without a second thought, manly because they don't think. The savanna with all of it's beautiful sun sets and foliage, it makes for a perfect romantic evening; makes for a perfect place to loose your seance of direction and get lost too. The dense jungle full of rare and endangered plants and insects; the ones that will give you diarrhea and disease, mostly. And finally, the culture...... okay, so no one ever says anything about the culture, probably because nobody knows a single damn thing about it.

In closing, it's just like, people need to know about there own history before they try to use it to get ahead by sympathizing everyone else to death. This is not only for the black community, but goes for all other minority groups, including gays/lesbians.

I know that, but the fact that most of them, that I meet, are like this. I'm not saying I don't like black people, I'm saying I don't like stupid people, and it's just coincidence that most of the black people I meet are stupid. That's not to say that I don't meet a lot of stupid white people.

Well, let's not forget, some that I have met act like they are the only race to be inslaved......

I stick by that statement. You have no control over what your ancestors do/did.

I'm not saying all minoritys are like this. I have black/gay friends who understand this. They know that it's not my fault and they don't blame me. I'm addressing the issue of the people out there who do blame people's ancestors for what they do.
