[Leekozri]

Leekozri, like humans, will generally produce one offspring. Unlike humans however Leekozri have a higher rate of producing identical twins, which means if fraternal twins run in your Leekozri's history you have a chance of ending up with 2 sets of identical twins. (4 babies total)

Unnatural fertility increases will also grant you the chance at triplets, so if fraternal twins run in your Leekozri's history you have a rare chance at 6 babies. (OMG her poor uterus)

Identical Twins: This occurs when an egg splits after fertilization, identical twins share dna with each other and are like little mirror images. Identical twins is a trait that does not run in families as it's a fluke, a wondrous fluke, but a fluke of nature no less.

Fraternal Twins: This is a genetically passed down trait where the female releases more than one egg a cycle. Thus twins can develop that do not look alike. To see if your female carries this trait please look for the twin symbol on your cert. Males that are fraternal twins and carry the trait cannot pass it on as it depends entirely on the female.

Triplets Identical: These are rare, because not only did a fertilized egg split once but it did so twice. While rare these are possible if you have fertility boosts to your female Leekozri.

Fertility Boosts: There are 4 ways of acquiring a fertility boost:
+ A Blessed Union Bonus, the Leekozri mating are joined in Blessed Union
+ Your Leekozri inherited it, this can work for either gender
+ A pet that carries a boost, one of both of your Leekozri are/is master to a familiar that has the ability to grant their owner a boost
+ An item that carries a boost is equipped to one of the Leekozri

+You wait until a breeding slot becomes available
+You snag it
+You fill out the required form and one of our staff members reviews it, if you decide to RP what led up to this breeding you may receive a fertility item as a reward
+Your Leekozri are doubled checked to make sure they aren't inbreeding, or going against breeding rules in any way if approved your breeding manager will now pick which stat table your leekozri fall under and will roll for your baby count
+Once the baby count has been determined an announcement will be made and you'll have to pay (if you haven't already) for your nest eggs
+A colorist whom you pay or who has agreed to otherwise will start work on your babies based on what you rolled, to make things move quickly the eggs will be colored and posted, buying the colorist time to color the other stages
+Once the eggs have been laid you are responsible to find owners and name the eggs, to be kind we've figured out how to tell the gender of an egg.
+Once that information is provided your breeding will go on our family tree, so we can keep track of genetic lineages.

Bonuses your female Leekozri may have that count towards breeding:
+Fertility bonus from a pet or item
+Fertility bonus inherited
+Carrier for fraternal twins

Bonuses your male Leekozri may have that count towards breeding:
+Fertility bonus from a pet of item
+Fertility bonus inherited

Bonuses that the couple may have that count towards breeding:
+Fertility bonus from an item for RP (no blessed union rp does not count)
+Blessed Union Certificate

Stats either Leekozri may have that would hinder your breeding:
+An STD
+Infertility/Sterility (in which case you cannot breed)
+Decreased fertility inherited or from a pet or item (you can still breed but there is a higher chance for nothing happening)
+Decreased fertility due to multiple Blessed Unions going wrong

In the chance of rolling a failure to fertilize
Firstly it should be noted that like in human mating there is a chance that the seed may not take or may have been a blank. Because of this you get 3 rolls, if you fail at all 3 you will loose your breeding slot but not be charged anything. Normally this chance is only 1 number out of the roll, if you are trying to breed Leekozri with fertility issues, or STDs you may want to invest in items that help remove STDs and increase fertility. If you try to mate a sterile or infertile Leekozri this result of failure to fertilize is a guarantee.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I sell my eggs?
NO, you may give them away, hold a game to home them, have people rp for them or trade someone for them. (Yes we permit giving away an egg as a pet trade since we can't really regulate that anyways.)

May I keep all my eggs?
Why yes you may. 3nodding

May I give my eggs up for adoption?
Yes you may do this, if you don't have parents lined up we'll be happy to let you host a rehoming event for your orphans.

How soon can I breed again?
Males can breed at any time really, but females cannot breed again until their eggs have reached the tween/child stage.

If I breed a bunch of Leekozri with my one Leekozri why do I get an STD? confused
STDs came about from humans doing just that (or from having relations with animals which we aren't going to get into). Even if your Leekozri starts out clean and breeds with clean Leekozri there is always a chance of something going wrong.

I want to breed my two male or two female Leekozri, why don't I get an egg?
The male Leekozri fertilizes the female Leekozri's egg. You need both sets of plumbing to create a baby. rofl

One of my males is in Union to another male but I'd like to breed him is this ok?
Yes, although there will be a slight fertility loss as they are life mated to someone else. You may want to RP the reason for his choosing to mate to see if you can earn a fertility item to help fight that. Unlike real life we will also ignore the fact that male/male couples have a higher chance of developing STDs. As far as we are concerned unless it was a preexisting STD your Union does not normally create STDs. (Yes that STD statement is true, it has to do with the type of sexual relationship and the way the body isn't built to handle it. Which is why men should always wear condoms when having relations with other men. )

One of my females is in Union with another female but I'd like to breed her is that alright?
Just like with males yes it is. Please remember that for them being in a Blessed Union that will count against the fertility of the female slightly.

So and So and I agreed to breed our Leekozri but we only got one egg!? How do we decide who keeps it since Co-Owning is not allowed? sad
That's something you need to discuss before breeding, in fact it's included in the form! If you fight too much about it we're likely to refund you and give your egg to a third party rather than have bickering about it.

How long will it take my egg to grow?
Please read the main page of the shop thread, then add another 2 weeks onto that time. If your egg doesn't grow by then contact ChimeraNell via PM.

How do you determine how much a breeding will cost?
It's done by the amount of eggs, but to be fair you get anything beyond a twins at a discount. Just in case you end up with 6 eggs. xd Costs are also based on whether an egg is an edit or not (we roll on each egg to see that). Edits will cost a little extra. So if your breeding 2 cosplays expect to see a higher price.

Breeding prices will be listed by the colorist who opens their slots.

How do I tell if a breeding slot is open?
Normally we'll make an announcement, otherwise check to see if a colorist has a slot in this thread. This will include coloring samples and their costs and if they are accepting cosplay breedings or not.
