I bare no ill will for Totally Spies! Sure, it was western and trying so hard to be anime but it was also it's own thing. I think the characters were cute and I like all the spies' voices.
Oh, and the animation is kinda terrible in places.
It was a cute assassin of time and I love it for being that!

Well, it certainly isn't the worst way to kill time, but it's really, really super mega predictable. They rarely change the format at all. It's very similar to the old Power Rangers format.
Girls have a friendship crisis/school problem/mental issue.
Girls get humorously whisked away to mission, given suspiciously well-planned gadgets.
Girls attempt mission, get captured.
Girls escape capture, complete mission.
Girls solve friendship crisis/school problem/mental issue.
Practically every episode, so it gets old quickly. I have to admit, though, that Gerry is awesome. I like that guy.

Oh, this was brilliant!
I had to get my little sister into it, as i felt embarrest for liking such a girly thing (i watched MENS cartoons, like DIGIMON and SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS)!
xd
theme tune was awesome!
and so were the gadgets! surprised
i want a jetpack-backpack!

Totally Spies ruled for some reason...I was a total Tomboy when I watched it,but I still thought it was really cool.
But whenever someone would come into the room,I'd change the channel. xp

The difference between Totally Spies and the Berenstein Bears is that BB is supposed to be educational.
Whereas Totally Spies is meant to be entertaining.
.......Which I don't see at all.
Maybe I'm just getting old, but it's just not a good cartoon.
The animation's too wonky. If you're gonna imitate anime style, do it right, dammit. Anime tropes are WAY overused in this cartoon.
And as far as basic story? It's pretty much "Charlie's Angels go to high school".
Nothing really original.
