Well my view in the past year has changed drasticly. Now I care even more for God,my family, and my friends. I went from a depressed suicidal teenager to a young woman intent on being all she can be and helping out at church and going to church every week.

my outlook in life is very harsh at the same time forgiving.. the world is painful but i keep on living to try and spread Gods word.. i belive in this verse:
"For me to live is Christ, for me to die is gain." -Philipians 1:21
"For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord" -Romans 6:23

To me, from years of searching for meaning in life... in what God wants for me; why He allows difficulty, pain, and death to happen to us. He has told us He loves us but I found it so hard to believe. I slipped further and further away from His Truth.
However, that was when I thought I figured it out. Well, that's the thing. You cannot. He is our God and Savior. Many times He has called us His sheep; beings that are akin to stupid or mindless... they can only follow a shepherd. That is the meaning to life. We can never know or understand. When we think we have figured it out, He sets something else in our lives to change that. We are nothing without Him and he wants us to know that.
Basically, when I felt I reached the lowest of the low... I decided to try something that before I never thought worked. Sure, I was a Catholic... practicing and all but not trully believeing. One day, I lay in bed and prayed to Him. I didn't know what I was saying but I asked Him to let me hear Him. I was told he was always speaking... but I couldn't hear Him! I never got an answer. At least, I didn't think I did. I grew angry at Him for not telling me why my life was like this... why He wasn't helping me or others I loved and cared about. Until... I somehow, I don't remember how, found a song I heard a long time ago but thought nothing of. When I heard it, my life turned around.
This is why I am telling you this. The song I listened to was 'You Know Better than I' from the Dreamworks movie, 'Joseph the King of Dreams'. It showed me the answer to your question: Life is not this life but the next. We can't live it without him. We can have faith to move moutains, can sing with the angels, comprehend all knowledge, have the most amazing friends and family in the entire world... but without Him, with Trust and Love we are nothing.
