Have confusion about how to make a power your thinking of?
Ask here, mods or other players will try to get back to you on builds that may work for what your looking for.

Is it possible to make a biting attack to use against pinned targets? Is there a way to do it that would make it like a free action once they are pinned? I would also like a lingering acid or poison type effect that could be transmitted from the bite.

There's no way to make an attack anything but a free action since I've limited all attacks to standard actions as far as the "action" extra can reduce them.
As for a poison type effect you'd first nab the damage power, then check out the secondary extra, or consider using the link extra with say a drain constitution power or nauseate.

Ah, I see where I got confused. If I made the damage effect as mentioned but with the Requires grapple drawback then I would initiate a grapple when trying to do the damage and if I pinned the bite would be 'automatic' because the purpose of the pin was to use the bite/ it's the same move. I think I understand now.

How do I make shape shifting powers? I saw that morph has a reference to a specific shape shifting power for forms with different traits but I don't see it.

Well there isn't any requires grapple drawback. When grappeling you can preform grapple options which does not unfortunately give you the option to use powers.
(For mechanic balancing because of the op combos allowed if one could)

We actually removed the ability to shapeshift.
There used to be in the old version of the system, then the updated came and they made it only accessable via a power structure we removed called variable.
Why did we remove it you may ask?
Well to put it simply variable is EXTEREMLY op, it even says so itself by saying only GM's (game masters) should use it, and players allowed to use it should be severly limited.

If we had you could essentially create 12 characters via shapeshift... it just gets a headache for keeping track of with profiles is all.
We may work a new version of it in eventually, but thats a big if.

Ah, what I want is the ability to assume different forms so I had thought Morph was what I needed until the note that said to use shapeshift. So I'll go with my original plan to mix morph, density, and elongation for what I want. I think I can manage with either an array or container next PL.

As for the requires grapple flaw you may want to remove it from the extras / flaws thread then. That's where I saw it.

Huh, well if there's one in the extras flaws section it's fine, I just didnt' realize.
And yeah, the best bet is to just do some Alternate powers to represent shape shifting (since it's basically just an array build with ap's)

How would i build the Nano machine bit for my character,
It would fall into the Device super power seeing as it would be similar to a power suit,
But it can't be taken away without so it doesn't fit into the Device power,
But it doesn't fit into the Equipment side of things ether

So i was wonder what do i build them with?

The Devices & Equipment thread in the rules sub-forum say to ask

Device power. If you look up the device power here then for 4 pp a rank you can make a 5pp device. If you then add the Innate and indestructable power feats it can not be taken from you or destroyed. The result would be 6pp for the first rank and I think 4pp for each rank after that. So the first two ranks would wash with you spending 10 pp for 10pp of effects but after that you would get 5pp of effects for every 4pp.

Actually you wouldn't use the device power at all.
If it can't be taken away from you it's not a device.

For example, if you made a gun that was some how fused to your hand, you would just give yourself the power "damage + range". Even though description wise it was a gun, it wouldn't count as a device because it could never be lost.

So basically with your nanobots find out what powers you want, and buy them like normal powers, your descriptor for powers is just "technology" because they are even though they're part of you.
Feel free to ask as much more as you want, I would love to get more characters profiles built and ready to begin.

I'm trying to apply a "feeding" power for a vampire that drains the life from his enemy for healing during a battle. I applied Drain and Absorption together even though it appears that it isn't necessarily supposed to work that way. Does anybody know another way to apply it if I did it wrong?

Look here. One of the Extra's is vampiric which heals you for some types of damage inflicted on enemies. If you apply it to a damage power it should work well.

This is the build I plan to use for mine, obviously you should alter it to fit what you want. In this case grappling is part of my battle strategy and penetrate is to pierce armor. Unreliable is just because since it actually has to eat part of them there are times it might run out of time. Damage and vampiric with the limited to living flaw would be 1pp per rank.

Feed
-Rank: 2
-Cost: 1: 2 pp per rank. (1pp)
-Build: Damage + Penetrate (+1) + Vampiric – Requires grapple (flaw) – Unreliable (flaw) – Limited (Flaw - Living creatures)
-Action: Standard
-Range: Touch
-Saving Throw: Toughness
-Duration: Instant
-Description: Due to it’s unusual physiology Eclipse is capable of feeding on a living being to heal itself. To do this it must first capture it’s prey and drag them to the ground at which point it’s powerful jaws will rip into them and the matter taken will be used to feed rapid mitosis to heal wounds on Eclipse.

Yep, wolf pretty much nailed that one.
Though do to the nature of Vampuric blood sucking one could also recommend constitution drain as the loss of blood would be very similar to the effects.

What kind of thing would Hacking be considered, like combat wise hacking...
Example: Hacking into one's device in the middle of the battle (Like a robotic companion or a gun that uses a computer to be super accurate)
