Summit has announced the third film, Eclipse, to be released next June.
LOS ANGELES, Calif. --
Sequels can often take years to get made, but fans looking to sink their teeth into more “Twilight” won’t have to wait too long.
The third film in the series, “Eclipse,” will arrive on June 30, 2010, Summit Entertainment confirmed to Access Hollywood. Sequel “New Moon” is due November 20 of this year.
Moreover, the series now has a name; based on the beloved novels of author Stephenie Meyer, the series has been officially named “The Twilight Saga.”
Chris Weitz will helm “New Moon,” which will see stars Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner reprise their roles. Screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg, who penned “Twilight,” will adapt both “New Moon” and “Eclipse.”

xXMISSWHOXx awsome, if you live in cal, but i live in the uk so it'll be about 2 months after Be glad you don't live in Japan then!! My neice lives there and they STILL haven't got Twilight in theatres yet there. Luckily she came to visit over her winter break so we saw it together when it came out here in November [I'm east coast US] but now that she's back there, she has to wait until April to see it in theatres there! The DVD comes out HERE before the movie even makes it THERE! How crazy is that?? For once I think I'm glad I live here and not there anymore, lmao.

I have NO idea!! Movies are always really late arriving in Japan from America, always has been and probably always will be. Going to see movies isn't as popular there as it is here, so that might contribute to the reason..[that and its ridiculously expensive]..

JuilianFai xXMISSWHOXx why don't they rease it at the same time as every where else ??? I have NO idea!! Movies are always really late arriving in Japan from America, always has been and probably always will be. Going to see movies isn't as popular there as it is here, so that might contribute to the reason..[that and its ridiculously expensive].. true i guess you'll seend the dvd over to her so she could watch it when ever she wants
