History:
Sykes was never normal like the other children. Instead of playing in the sun he spent his days in dark corners, hovering over his latest capture as he dissected small creatures he had managed to nab. He loved to watch them squirm as they where cut open and stitched on new parts, creating his own disturbing form of art.
His parents as well as those around him worried for the child's mental health, and it was suggested that Sykes be taken to happy places with other children, shown what they where like and that hopefully he would pick up and cast out his sick ways.
It just so happened that a few days later a carnival came to town, a small pitiful one at best, but at this point his parents where willing to try anything to save the deteriorating mental health of there only son. At the carnival a travesty happened, during the main big tops circus event a lion got loose from it's cage and slaughtered the ring master before turning on the crowd and chasing down it's screaming victims.
While others ran Sykes stared in amazement, a large smile plastered upon his face as he watched the majestic beast paint the canvas below with the blood of those who ran in fear he could not understand.
A loud bang rang out through the crowd, the animal tamers had shown up and shot the loose beast dead.

Sykes watched as the thing fell... and the killing stopped. His smile slowly began to fade as he realized their would be no more beautiful artwork going on below... that the show had ended.
"But... it... it can't end, the show must go on" he muttered to himself. Clenching his fists tightly he experienced a searing inner pain, he couldn't stand this, why had they stopped the wonderful performance? Why when it had gotten such a spectacular reaction from the crowd? The ground began to shake as the air rippled and literally tore revealing an utter blackness beyond.
Sykes eyes glowed a brilliant white as his psychic powers awoke, surging powerfully and literally ripping the entire carnival from the dimension leaving nothing but a crater behind where it had stood.

Years passed in the dimension, a floating island where the few that had survived the shearing of dimensions had become Sykes thralls and new experiments.
Though with time he grew board, he needed a new audience, new experiments to create freaks for his show... and he would have them... everyone would love his show, the carnival was coming back to town!

He is also able to anchor his feet or hands onto the floor of his own or graces dimension (depending on which he's in he uses the other) in order to act as if he's standing on solid ground. This allows him to walk up walls or ceilings as easily as he can on the ground.

Sykes can fold dimensions allowing him to teleport himself and up to 100 pounds 300ft, as a move action OR he may use a full action, and loose his dodge bonus, to move up to 1,000 feet. He must be able to accurately sense or know especially well the places he teleports to, though upon exit he can change his velocity and direction effectively stopping himself from falling or otherwise continuing former movement.
Using this power in any manner creates large glares of purplish light that are quite noticeable.

Sykes can pull through past experiments from his Circus realm known as his "freaks". These minions are absolutely under his thrall and thus fanatical to obey any command he gives even if suicidal.
Sykes can summon up to five different freaks, and if he is struck may spend a luck point in order to have any of the freaks in range of the enemies attack that where visible take the hit for him.
Though while summoning the freaks a bright flash of purplish white light emanates from the dimension they where pulled, making it quite obvious.

Sykes often thinks many would be brilliant for his show and thus gives them a test run by making them the main star. They're mind is overcome with his whispering rants as visions of torment run through their head. In mere moments he gains control of their bodies and commands them to do as he commands.
Though when doing so their eyes resemble Sykes, large white orbs of brilliant light making it quite apparent that they are under his thrall.
Each resist check failed grants the user +1 on further attempts to resist a specific application of mind control.
Each successful resist grants +1 on all further attempts to mind control a foe.
Note this means if you fail 3 times your fourth resist would be +3, if you then succeeded you'd loose the +3 but have +1 to resist being mind controlled further by the Sykes.

Minion 1

Doctor Stitch
User ImageOne of the survivors when Sykes pulled the carnival into another dimension was Demetri Ryan, a 32 year old successful actor that had taken his family out for the evening to the carnival. Once the nightmarish scene of murder began to unfold Dimitri took his family trying to lead them to safety only to see them stomped to death in the fleeing crowd. Overcome with Grief Dimitri hide, eventually found by Sykes and driven to madness as he tore at his own face. When he awoke in a pool of torn skin and his own dried blood caked onto his face he looked into a mirror at the ghastly results of his face... something inside him broke, and whether it was the nature of the twisted dimension Sykes had pulled them into or the manifestation of his own abilities Dimitri quickly found himself partially intangible... grabbing a long sheet and burlap sack he hid his ghastly face from the world as his body began to quickly loose all ability to interact with the physical world. Practicing his abilities he longed to regain his face, in some lost hope that it would bring back the days when he still had a family and happy career... alas even with his quickly developing skills of healing he could not, ironically, effect himself... rather he choose to serve Sykes... hoping his master... the one who had brought him into this nightmare could wake him.

The doctor can create soothing healing energies to wash over whomever he wishes, sewing together wounds with psychic energy. This allows to immediately heal a single bruised or lethal hit, make a recovery check with a +6 bonus against the victims worst condition, restore up to 6pp of a lost attributes (stat, power, or any other thing lost from drain of injury, disease, or poison), or immediately allow a +6 saving throw against powers with disease or poison descriptors effecting the subject. He can even stabilize any dying character with a DC 10 healing check.
He may even resurrect the dead if they have been dead for fewer than 6 minutes, the dead makes a DC20 con check with a +6 bonus to become unstable and unconscious, only usable once per death.

Minion 2

Volt Head

Volt Head, unlike most of Sykes minions where manifestations of electrical energy surges brought on when the carnival was torn asunder. Many of the former "no name" temporary employee's where shocked and twisted with psychic energy. Their bodies shifted and warped shrinking slightly as limbs elongated and tails grew. Their hair fell from their heads, fingers merged together as bones twisted and cracked into new shapes... the transformation was slow yet none the less quicker than most of the twisted abominations people became. Serving as the main power source for Sykes Carnival of Freaks, these electricity wielding minions are deadly indeed and often employed as his grunt strike troops.

Minion 3

Patch-work Succubi
User ImageSykes grew lonely amongst his freaks and set out to sate what every man desired, a partner if for nothing more than to feed his carnal needs. Being a fickle man Sykes captured many women, each holding a quality of his liking... "each is wonderful yet contains flaws that the others make up for with their natural appeal... if only they could trade these flaws for the perfections each other hold" he said looking over the fearful women whom his freaks had brought to him over several months time.
"Oh... but we can" Sykes proclaimed as he held up a scalpel "...that we can".
From his efforts was brought forth the patchwork succubi. A pile of parts merged together into the perfect women, or at least perfect to Sykes twisted mind. The woman's mind is far more torn and scarred than her body, within a sort of glee coming from the vanity brought forth as the only thing left to hold onto in life.
Despite her stitched skin and oddly inhumanly possible figure however an unnatural appeal has developed within her abilities, one that effects men alone yet is strong enough to sap the life from them and give that strength to her lover and master.

This grants her +16 charisma (Giving her +8 higher than normal, making her charisma bonus a -3 to women but a +5 to men.)
