I've always loved Sonic the Hedgehog cartoons, ever since the first one (The Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog) came out when I was little.

The Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog... I loved this cartoon back when it was the only one out. =P
It was Sonic the Hedgehog in the form of a cartoon. I ate it up.
It was Sonic and Tails on wacky adventures while Dr. Robotnik would cook up some crackerjack scheme to get rid of him with the help of his two idiotic henchmen, Scratch and Grounder. XD

Much fun and enjoyment there for the years I sat and watched it. But then something better came along.

My personal favorite has always been (and probably always will be) the one commonly referred to as SatAM.

Sure I look back on it now and see a lot wrong and inconsistent with it, but as a whole, it's still my favorite because it had good characters, and it had a good solid continuity, which is rare in American cartoons nowadays.

After watching SatAM, I stopped liking the "Adventures" cartoon with all of its random goofy humor. And the fact that the only two heroes in that cartoon were Sonic and Tails.

After SatAM finished its run, they came out with Sonic Underground. In my opinion, this cartoon was several steps backwards from the quality they held in SatAM.
The story was a horribly ground-up version of SatAM's with almost none of the same characters. The roboticized mobians looked absolutely ridiculous. And the intro is just to painfully corny to bear. ><
And just like in the previous two series, they had Jaleel White (AKA Steve Urkel) as the voice of Sonic, which would've been alright if not for the fact that he also did the voices for Sonic's supposed brother and sister. ><
I only watched two episodes of it and couldn't take anymore.

Then recently there was Sonic X. Now, being an anime, this follows a whole 'nother canon, so I really don't think it's fair when people start comparing this to SatAM. They don't even have the same guy doing Sonic's voice.
Personally I liked the basic story and it had a decent continuity for being episodic.
The characters original to the anime took some getting used to. (particularly Chris..... He's pretty annoying as a character)
I particularly liked the parts where they went into the "Sonic Adventure" story arcs. That was pretty interesting. =)
I never watched the anime all the way through, so I can't say whether or not I liked it as a whole.
Although this cartoon was pretty good, it just didn't hold my interest long enough to care about how it ended. =/

The basic premise of Sonic X is that Sonic and all the others were transported to Earth by the chaos emeralds.
They had a huge fight and did something to make the chaos emeralds mad, so they were all sent to Earth. =P

In this instance I think it makes sense to add human characters.
And besides that isn't Eggman considered sort of human?

Eggman is a human, yes. I almost forgot about him to be truthful. I guess I mean the concept kinda just alarms me. But who knows, it could end up being good - I mean, these days I'm a bit jaded.

My biggest issue Chris is that he:
1)Over time takes over Tails' title of "Sonic's best friend"
2)In the Sonic Adventure 2 story arc, he is the one who at the end reminds Shadow of Maria's true wish.....which in the game, was done by Amy. D<

With the different cartoon series, my favorite would have to be SatAM, which my friend happens to own 2 seasons of it(it all there was?). <3*wishes it had continued* I want to know what happens!

There is one, cartoon medium of Sonic that I adore 10x more then even SatAM....
SONIC: The Movie
...although I don't understand how the President of Planet Freemdom, who has elf ears, can have a daughter with car ears and a tail. lol Speacking of her, Sara is sooooo annoying, but at the same time funny.

Which one of those cartoons had "Sonic Sez" in them? I love those. I learned a lot about life from them too.

Ah, such sage advice. Got me through those rough middle school years, to be sure.

I personally don't mind the voice acting for Sonic the Movie. It does take some getting used to but, only thing I didn't like was the fact that Sonic sound like a girl in it.

i never really watched the sonic the hedgehog cartoons so i can't say if i like them or not
