Basically an RP is a place a way to tell a story with the help of other people and you can control a character. It is like writing a book but you take on a character and act them out either in third or first person. Usually most people (that I have seen) do it in third person.

How to create an RP

Step 1: Title

The first thing you need to do is create a title for the RP

Step 2: The plot


The plot gives the viewers and other rpers a story to read or work with. Usually it gives a time, a place, and depending on the RP itself activities or missions or something like those for the rpers to do.

Step 3: The Rules

I know I know this sounds kind of weird but all RPs need some kind of rules, may it be have fun to romance is allowed but take the cybering to the pms. Those are just two out of the many rules that can go under the rules.

Step 4: The Profile Skeleton

This is an example of a profile skeleton:

Gaia name:
Name: (character's name)
Age:
Race: (depending on the RP)
Personality:
Bio:
Appearance:

For the Appearance people tend to use pictures but some put a description instead because they don't have access to pictures.
