Popularity wise... I'm sure Sonic is pretty cool with kids these days.
Not going to lie... Before Sonic Heroes came out, I thought Sonic was over.
But... how many people do you know that can eat a flower and spit fire? I mean, come on.
He's always been around. Definitely Mario.

Mario, for sure.
I mean, C'mon. How good has the Sonic games been lately??? They only make them so little kid's parents spend more money on a sucky game. The Mario ones are still going strong.
((BTW, Sexy_Beasty_Angel, is that a trainer card from Pokemon Platinum???))

if u dumbasses havent forgotten the last time mario had a game,then u would see that nintendo probably FORGOT about mario.besides,i dont think mario playing baseball makes any sense at all.see in sonic stuff,at least theres a point in WHY they have lots of swords and other crap.i dont see mario having any reason to be playing soccer or baseball.so mario is probably gonna go out of business before sonic does.and to those jackasses that think mario can beat sonic in a fight,GET A BRAIN!!!!!!!

that is true. the mario games have started to go down a little. I still think games like Mario Nintendo 64 DS and Mario Kart for the Wii are still good. But why does Sonic have a Sword?!?!?!

Oh, well this is simple. razz Definitely Mario. Sonic had his time back in the early 90s up until his debut on the Dreamcast with Sonic Adventure. After that game, he's been terrible. Mario is older, been in way more games (116 not including remakes according to wiki), and is still starring in great games. He's stood the test of time unlike Sonic. Sonic just doesn't work in 3D and Sega needs to just make 2.5D side scrolling games for consoles until Sega can figure out a way to make a 3D formula work. So in conclusion, Mario. razz
