A lot of us are students (or even teachers!) and usually there's a ton to say about school! So if anyone wants to share their grades, talk about their favorite subjects or teachers, or share some of your in-school antics from the present or the past, here's the place to do it! smile

I'm a senior at a different high school than I was last year. I must say, though, it's pretty awesome. I can't think of any short antics, though, and I'm dog tired, so I'll post some longer antics and anecdotes later.

Oh yeah, I forgot you switched! That definitely had to be interesting. One of my friends did that for her senior year as well, and she said it was worth it in the end.
Fortunately, I've been at the same school all four years, but unfortunately, I'm starting to see it progressively get worse. Long story, that one is. But the good thing is, my school's putting on a play! Or at least, one of my friends is. We weren't going to have any theater stuff this year and so she decided she'd take charge and direct The Importance of Being Earnest. I'm really excited about it, I'm playing one of the lead characters and it's just a really funny play. 3nodding

It is really weird to not be in a school that was familiar to me for 3 years, but I think it's at least kinda worth it for me. I have the most amazing new friends on top of the friends I'm keeping around from my old school, the school is actually probably better than my old school [after three years of overcrowding, it's so nice to have a small bubble of personal space in the hallway, haha], and my classes are as expected... but I'm not just taking classes, I have an internship sponsored by the school so I have 2 free blocks every afternoon and on most days, an internship. It's unpaid, sure, but it's the best job ever. Everyone I intern under is really patient and usually doesn't just give me busywork-I get a bit of input.
My school's put on a play already this year (M*A*S*H) and is now doing a musical (The Sound of Music. One of my friends is a Nazi, lol) and I have a few friends who act... I'm not an actor myself, I get terrible stage fright, but it's very good that you can go ahead and be a lead character. Break a leg, Bat!

Familiarity is definitely a good thing. Heh, this year so many old teachers left and so many new ones were hired that I've almost become unfamiliar with the classroom locations again.
My school is set up so that the science classrooms are all in the same hallway, as well as the english classrooms, history, math, etc. So for the last three years I've been going by the course and the teacher instead of the classroom number for navigation. Some freshmen asked me to help them find their classes at the beginning of this year, though, and I was completely confused because I just don't recognize any teachers' names anymore. That, and my school decided to dedicate an entire wing to freshman classes. Change is not fun. D:
That's great about your internship, Gatta! I was going to try to get one myself but that kind of fell out empty when I realized I have no time at all. And yay for no busywork!
