HISTORY
During the start of the war against China, a man named Doctor Hubert Von Albrich started developed a new type of android in Eastern Boston. The robot was designed to "eliminate snipers, assassins and ambushers in enclosed and urban areas of combat." A hunter destroyer. A robot designed to kill targets with specific goals. A hunter of the hunters. Hubert's invention was called "Widowmaker". Widowmaker v0.98 had its first field test on the eastern bank of the Chinese coast. The much smaller, dog-like Widowmaker at the time was so effective at it's job, Dr. Albrich was awarded the Army Commendation Medal. This led him to create more and more advanced versions of the Widowmaker. Version 2.23 was another success of his for its use of a nuclear core, giving it a top speed of 50mph on four legs, a world record for machines and making the robot even deadlier. His best creation was Widowmaker v.3.36, which was still mass produced up until the the great event 30 years ago. However, things turned bad during a campaign in Russia. Dr. Albrich had fielded the new Widowmaker v4.54, hoping for similar results as his earlier models. Hubert had put a program into the Widowmaker to make it the nuclear core explode when badly damaged or threatened in too harsh a way. One of his models was traveling with a small platoon of troops when a stray sniper picked him out of the crowd of American and British soldiers. When the Widowmaker v4.54 was struck, it initiated it's self destruct sequence, killing 13 soldiers and wounding 56 others, even putting 6 into a coma (to which 4 succumbed to the wounds within a year). Dr. Albrich was widely critizised and labeled a "mad scientist" by many. Dr. Albrich came out with versions 4.55 and 4.56 before he was kicked off his seat in military invention a few months after the incident. Dr. Albrich should have given up, but intense exposure to radiation, several lab explosions, a concussion, exposure to mind altering chemicals and constant attack from critics left Hubert Von Albrich to a life of madness. He spent his years locked in his own basement, constantly tinkering with new forms of the Widowmaker, which had become his life's work. He created model 5.00, then 5.01, and so on. A year before the great event that truly left the world scared, Dr. Albrich came up with Widowmaker v5.22. He was satisfied with his results and went ahead and constructed 10 more models of the Widowmaker v5.22. The eightieth in the line was nicknamed "Clinkz".
