((Lazy bones! If you come up with the idea, you're kinda obligated to start it off. Oh well, I guess I'll help out.))
Cody smirked as the Shiatsu massagers tingled on his fingertips. He had one on each finger, and he held them up in front of his face, marveling at their ingenious miniaturized design. He began rubbing them across the back of his neck, and he thought he saw a little glimpse of heaven as they soothed away the tension his neck. However, the glimpse of heaven was only a flash of light, and an exceedingly bright one at that. He opened his eyes, and noticed that the flash of light seemed to come from one of the overhead lights in Meijer. It winked out, then back on in moment. Cody arched an eyebrow, and lowered his hands, not feeling the vibration anymore. Another light winked out, then two more. They came back on again, and Cody rolled his eyes. Must be the shitty circuitry. He stepped out from under it, just in case it decided to blow a bulb and rain down broken glass. However, he couldn't have predicted what happened next: A wave of lights went out above him, spreading in a circle across the entire store. Cody took another step toward the aisles his friends were in, and called to them.
"Uhh, hey guys? Something reaaaallly weird is going on here.... Maybe we should leave?"

(( Keith, you're a silly man. I'll claim second post since I'm always the nearest to Cody when we go shopping...))
Gianna was standing in the aisle next to Cody as he played with the massager things. She hadn't bothered to remember what he'd said they were called. She was done shopping, having only wanted to buy a new sketchbook and some pencils. She had some weird spurt of inspiration and decided to start drawing while she waited for everyone else to be done with whatever it was they were doing in Meijer. She assumed most of her friends to be close by. She was getting rather frustrated with the lights, however. The flickering was making it increasingly difficult to draw anything right. She looked up in time to see all the lights suddenly go out in a circle pattern, as if some kind of shockwave had fried the bulbs. She glanced at Cody and saw that he was nervous. She went to his side, sketchbook still open tucked under one arm with the pencil in her hand. "That was just freaky..." she said to him before calling to one of their friends in particular. "Big brother, are you and Lys done shopping now? I agree with Cody, we should all get going... That light thing if freakin' me out..."

((You know...usually the one who makes the idea makes the thread...I mean, otherwise there would be no RPs in the the forums...))
CJ was roaming close by to Lys and the others with her hands in her pockets as she looked at the various items in the aisles. She was a bit bored so she fingered her keys in her pockets, as she walked. The flicker of the light caught her attention and she looked up rather annoyed, she hated those flickering fluorescent lights. What she saw next made her a bit nervous as the lights circled out. A knot formed in the pit of her stomach, much like the kind she gets whenever a big storm was about to hit. After all, these kinds of power surges happened before storms and such. Feeling a bit nervous, CJ pulled the keys out of her pocket and jingled them as a sign it was time to leave. "Guys, I think there may be a storm on its way. We should get home so we don't have to drive in it." she said starting to head toward the front of the store where the exit was located. Even with her long legs, it would take a while...they were in the back of the store after all.

Aia was walking towards the back of the store to find Cj and peeps when her phone vibrated in her pocket. She quickly shifted the pile of clothes she was going to buy onto one arm and reached to get the phone. A light above her flickered and she looked up and blinked. Before she even opened the phone she knew who it was and what they wanted so she txted back, '@ meiijer, found sum awsum stuff, bbl <3' she hit send, closed the phone, shoved it back into her pocket and continued to the back of the store. Looking through the aisles back as far as she could she spotted Cj and Lys, and knowing her voice wouldn't carry that far back she still called out, "Cj!" A moment after the lights flickered and went out.

Lys was standing next to CJ and Keith when her phone rang. Of course ti was her mother, calling to bother her about somethng that her mother thought sheneeded to be doing. Her mother had a serious case of the controling parent gone wrong. She'dtried to let go of Lys when Lys moved out but the process had backfired. Now Lys argued with her mother about how much she should be working when she went away to school, and the kicker was that she didn't even really know if she was going to get into the college yet. But her mother thought that money was important and wanted to work out all the details before they did anything else. So Lys wass on the phone completely oblivious to the flashing lights... and it wasn't until someone else got her attention that she even started walking to the front of the store to get out. She tried to keep up with CJ but she made sure that she was standing with Keith, she didn't get much time with him anyway... and this was all that she could really get this weekend.

Keith was following his woman, at the store, much like he always did. She saw something shiny or something of that nature, she'd just follow it and go after it. That was how it was usually at the store. She was on a similar tangeant, just going around, so he followed, his hand rubbing his Ipod in his pocket. It had put on good songs, and he was overall pleased as the music boomed through the tiny speakers that always seemed implanted in his ears. Redefine by SoIL, a song that always made his spine tingle, had just ended when the lights began to flash. "That's a new thing" he said, a little louder than normal, because he had the volume up so high the housewife 10 feet from him heard it and could make out the instrumentation. Black Hole Sun from Soundgarden had started with the lights flickering, but he changed it. He wanted something to rock out to...even if only in his mind. Falls on Me by Fuel popped up next, but that was skipped. The lights continued to go and go and go. Something must've been screwed up, because this had never happened in the Meijer when he was here. Ain't Coming Home popped up, only to be skipped, as it seemed the lights had to also. His song that popped up next that came up was Fireproof by Pillar, but that he decided to stick with. It was at this time, the lights stopped flickering and stayed off permanently.

(sidenote, anything that needs to be done as an ST will be done in capitals...)
IT WAS AT THIS TIME, WHEN THE WHOLE CREW WERE IN MEIJER, THAT FATE INTERVENED. A METEOR, CAUSING RADIATION OF SOMETHING THIS PLANET HAD NEVER KNOWN, CRASHED DOWN FROM THE HEAVENS, HURTLING THROUGH THE ATMOSPHERE AND CRASHING INTO THE MIDAS STOP NEAR THE MEIJER, BUT BOUNCING OFF THE GROUND AND CRASHING INTO THE MEIJER. AS EACH OF THEM WERE OVERCOME WITH RADIATION, SOMETHING STRANGE HAPPENED. THEY ALL BECOME DIFFERENT, SHOWING AND EXHIBITING DIFFERENT ABILITIES THAT WOULD CHANGE THEIR LIVES FOREVER. THE SUBSEQUENT RADIATION FROM THE METEOR CAUSED EVERYONE IN THAT STORE TO PASS OUT AND REMAIN THAT WAY FOR SEVERAL HOURS. WHILE ALL THIS WENT ON, THE US GOVERNMENT RECEIVED WORD OF THIS HAPPENING AND DISPATCHED PEOPLE TOWARD THE SCENE. AT THIS SAME TIME, CREATURES THAT LIVED ON THE METEOR RAN RAMPANT THROUGHOUT THE LAND, ONLY TO BE CHALLENGED BY NORMAL PEOPLE, WHOM THEY TOOK THE SKIN OF. IT WOULD BECOME THE DUTY OF THESE PEOPLE IN THE MEIJER TO SURVIVE THE US GOVERNMENT AND DESTROY THE CREATURES FROM THE METEOR. THESE ARE ONLY SOME OF THE STORIES...

Keith woke up several hours later, but it felt like an eternity. His Ipod still blared into his eyes, One and the Same by Audioslave causing eardrum damage. Keith, who felt like his head was splitting, covered in torn rags that used to be his clothes, cold in the night air, sat up, perhaps only a bit too fast. There were sirens nearby, he could tell, but couldn't make out any images. It felt like his head was splitting, and it felt like sound was reverberating around him, but what he didn't know was that the sound literally was reverberating around him. People were calling out to him, screaming to him, but it turned out that a bubble of pure sound, emitted from his body upon passing out, had erupted around him, but only a small area around him. He sat up, dazed, and looked down. "What the hell happened? Lys, CJ, Cody, Gi?" he said groggily. "Where the hell are you guys?"

Somehow Lys had found herself passing out, the world swirled around her, she tried to grab for an arm to support her, but there was nothing were she remembered them to be, CJ's arm wasn't in herrreach anymore. Lys Stumbled, fighting the darkness... but as she stumbled she ran into a kiosk and the items on it all fell on top of her. As she fell with the items, her knee bent and stretched, her already injured knee couldn't handle the weight and she fell. As pain erupted through her body, the darkness overtook her.
When Lys woke, she could barely think from the pain... instinctually she called for said Keith's name, willing him to find her.

Gianna suddenly felt her world spinning and slowly fading to black. She hadn't fainted in years, but she automatically recognized it. "Cody... I feel..." She wasn't able to finish before she completely blacked out, the last thing she felt was herself falling...
Several hours later, Gianna slowly regained her consciousness. She groaned, her head pounding. She slowly sat up, looking around. Cody was right next to her and she slowly moved closer to him. She moved his hair out of his face and checked to see that he was okay. He was breathing, so that was good. "Cody?" she said, gently shaking him.

Cody felt warm. He was enjoying the glowing sensation, when he suddenly motion next to him. His arm moved, without his will, and he heard something. He tried to ignore it and focus on the nice warmth, but the voice grew louder and louder. Eventually, he decided to see what it was. He turned toward it, but all he saw was light. He covered his eyes, blinded. But suddenly, awareness came rushing back. He remembered being in Meijer, but something was wrong. He opened his eyes fully, and realized that the glare was from searchlights refracting off the shards of broken glass all around them. He looked up at the ceiling, then over to Gianna, who knelt near to his side. Why hadn't he remembered something? However, a sharp pain in his head reminded him of why he didn't recall much: He had been using a smashed shelf as a pillow. He reached up and touched the back of his head; warm blood trickled from the superficial cuts on his head and face, and he sighed slightly. He knew that they would certainly hurt in the morning, and he sat up slowly, looking around. He glanced up, and thanked his lucky stars: The shelves had fallen together, and were propped in a precarious arch above himself and Gianna. He glanced over to her again, and planted a quick kiss on her.
"Thanks for waking me up, babe. I'm not sure I would've without you. Come on, let's get out of here!"
He grabbed her by the hand, and scurried out from under the collapsed shelves. He turned around, looking for his friends. He heard something strange, and moved toward the loud humming sound emanating from another section of the store. Picking his way through the wreckage, he saw Keith sitting in the middle of a small oasis of the shattered Meijer. However, as he got closer, the sound got louder and louder, eventually becoming unbearable. He clapped his hands over his ears and stepped back, the sound blasting at his eardrums. When he was a safe distance away, he shouted through the cloud.
"KEITH! TURN DOWN YOUR IPOD!"
