That's clean as all hell get out. It'd make a great part of your period collection, IMO its worth putting the car on hold for a bit to get this one. All you need now is period clothing.
pirate Well the two of my watches in my small three watch collection, are of the same vintage. One is a Automatic mechancical watch which I call the GTO. (Its a Rotary, and has GTO and two checkererd flags on the face.) While the other one is a wind up fashion watch, wich is also mechanical but you read it like you would read a digital watch. And its made by Peugeot.

Please bare in mind that while a thousand dollars can buy you a shitty Camaro in the states, it can't do much for cars and stuff here. I paid roughly R15k for the Alfa, which had no papers, roadworthy, didn't really go and isn't in all that great of a condition.
In order to catch this opportunity I'd probably have to take out a bank loan, but I am confident that I could pay it off in three months or so.
Other options in that price bracket include a cheapo Suzuki Bandit 400; a REALLY cheapo run down Beemer or Merc and other front wheel drive bullshit cars.
But nothing that comes close to being as clean as that scooter looks.
If the motor is in as good condition as the rest of the bike, and if it has all its proper papers then I will be VERY VERY VERY tempted.
I think I'm going to try and get a look at it on the weekend, if not sooner.
I am concerned about two things though, one, being too tall for the little guy. On some of the early Vespa's it my knees are up against the front. (but thats all realativly minor.) And on some of the early Vespa's they didn't have ignition locks...some didn't even have steering locks. lol.
Last night I was picturing putting white wall tires and a 50s pin up style gal on the bike.
