This private RP is for the use of my two Kom'giets, Eveela and Kira, only, as they meet in their crossing paths.

The Meeting of Souls -- "My sister..."

The tale of how sisters Kira and Eveela were reunited by crossing paths.

It was a sunny summer day... the lazy buzzes of dragon and mayflies tickled the warm air... a soft breeze blew through the heavy-boughed trees... the sky was clear, the sun bright... all in all, a perfect day.

Eveela was just beginning to hunt on her own, but only small prey she had been permitted to by her parents. Her younger sister wasn't strong enough to go out yet, else she'd be right alongside Eveela. But loneliness would suffice for now; besides, Eveela had always loved the wilderness. She found a sort of pride in her self-preservation, especially at such a young age. She was already strong enough to take down a young deer!

She could just imagine her father's voice: "That's my girl, Evee! So strong, just like your ole' pop, eh?!" And then he would wink at her, ruffle her hair, and turn away. Sure, it wasn't that much affection. But Eveela understood that in those small words, in that simple tone of voice, was all the pride, all the love! That her father gave her. Kira was mother's favorite, as she was the baby. And, Eveela had to agree, the cutest. But she didn't mind the lack of attention. It simply made her respect the small words and gestures she received even more. And no matter what, she loved her parents, and they loved her for who she was. That would never change.

Ah! What was that?

Eveela crouched low, the crunching of small twigs and pine needles setting her on prowl. It sounded like the young deer she was searching for, and yet it was different, in a strange, yet almost familiar way. Oh well... even if it was bigger than she could handle, she'd still give it a good scare. Just the game and challenge of the hunt was enough to make her blood boil!

Still crouched, she scooted slowly forward, her belly dragging on the soft substrate. Her small claws were itching to extend, but she held herself at bay. 'Just wait, just wait--they'll hear you if you let your claws out!' So she slunk forward, until she came to the back of a fallen tree, gray bark covered in silver and minty moss. The rustling on the other side of the log increasing, grew closer... yet, the scent was off. It didnt smell like a deer. But why? Eveela couldn't really tell what the heck it was anyway.

Then, suddenly, the rustling stopped. She heard sniffing, feet diggin into the fallen needles. The scent of pines and berries infused her nostrils, and yet that familiar smell came again, and it was strong. Wait, wait! She knew that smell! It was--

She didn't even have time to scream as a set of sharp claws embedded themselves in her jet black fur.

"Aahhh!" Eveela's voice shouted, panicked and full of fright. Her ice-blue eyes snapped open to reveal... the dark sky above her.

Her sides heaved as she panted in shocked breaths, her heart drumming an erratic rhythm in her chest. She lay on her back, her paws curled onto her stomach, her tail unfurled to the cool, summer's night breeze. The long, slender stalks of meadow grass whisked about her body, caressing the sweat-soaked fur, and almost feeling comforting, as a mother's touch would. The moon shone bright above, illuminating the meadow as a rippling, silver sea of majestic water, the grass dancing in the wind's embrace. The stars were bright on this night, and they too danced along the heavens, showing off their sparkly smiles. The meadow was calm; no enemies hid this night.

Eveela lay there for a long moment, letting her eyes flutter shut again, and steadying her breathing by inhaling long, deep draws. She let the breeze chill her heated skin, let it take her back to comforting times, when the wind had been her father, and the grass had been her mother. They were always there for her, no matter what the predicament. Nature was her true mother, and the sky was her father.

She finally opened her eyes again, rolling to her side and resting her flushed cheeks on the cool ground. Unknowingly, a tear slipped from her crystal eyes; but she wiped it away prudently, and forgot she had ever shed it.

"'Twas just a dream, Evee. Nothing else. Just a dream..." she whispered half-heartedly to herself, her strong, pure, beautiful voice trembling despite her control.

For the dream was real, yet it was over. This thing, this nightmare, had happened many years ago. But Eveela's mind still held the memory as it were a sticky burr tangled in one's fur; it simply refused to let itself go! She had been battling these nightmares for quite some time now, reliving the incident every time her mind played the memory. It was getting to her, weakening her. And yet she could not stop it.

"Who... who was I?"

Eveela stood slowly, her body rising gracefully from the grassy ground. Her light blue eyes almost glowed in the darkness, and her coat shone as silver in the lunar glow. She seemed to be an angel of the night, a shadow, sleek and sly, strong and foreboding. Yet, her sides still heaved from the memory, from the reality of it all. And she wished that she knew where her family was, or even who they were; but wishes did not come true in her world.

She turned her head skywards, gazing at the tiny points of light. A constellation suddenly came to mind: the Gallant Giet, or something like that? But she hadn't learned constellations since her childhood... good, then. That meant that she had regained another small piece of her lost memory. Although she grew hopeful that every detail would return, she knew that the truth was grim, and she would never truly regain the memories of her childhood.

Oh well. Not like she could use them, since she had no idea where home was anymore. She was a traveler, a pilgrim. She never settled, never loved, only lusted for adventure.

Not to mention the skills she had learned from being on her own. She could do many of the activities that only a male should know, and she counted them as a valuable asset.
