Tell me about yours! What do you think about the day? Do anything special?
Personally I don't really care, I had a normal day but maybe you did something you'd like to share? wink
Oh, I did do this:

Cool pic. I'm single and I don't have a valentine so I spent my Singles Awareness Day just like a normal Saturday. Caught up with a mate in the morning, went and looked at a couple of cars and went to see my grandparents. Kinda sucks spending is alone, but at least I got a group of girls walking down the road looking and pointing and waving some cupids bow and arrow around as I drove by. Better then nothing I spose.
A few of my paired up mates are going out to dinner in town but I don't really want to make it a table of seven. I don't think I'll go out tonight, might watch a movie or something.

I also had a pretty quiet day, what with being single and all.
Though, a small (very small) carnival of sorts set itself up in my area on that day. May or may not have been for bush fire victims...I can't think of any other reason. Either way, I took my sister to it. biggrin

I have a girlfriend, but she's lives on the other side of the country, and won't be back until the 26th. I was working all night, so I couldn't call, but we were texting all afternoon. I personally dispise valentines day. It makes single people feel more single, and ruins the gestures the guys make. Guys are expected to do all this stuff on valentines day to make the girl feel special. A) What's wrong with girls doing that? Guys don't have a nominated day to be fawned over by girls. B) All gestures that guys make will be dulled by the fact that it's expected/demanded. If a guy did the same thing he did on valentines day 2 months before, it would be such a bigger event. The fact that it's demanded detracts from the gesture
Thankfully my ladyfriend is of the same opinion, so she's not annoyed that we didn't do anything for V-day

I believe in japan they have 'white friday' or something, where the chicks give stuff to guys as a payback for Valentines day.
For Valentine's day, I had a nice breakfast with the missus, played some video games with her, and then got food poisoning and threw up all night.

Ouch, sounds harsh. I'm lucky to have my iron stomach. I've been out with mates who all got food poisoning from the food we ate and I was the only one to not throw up XD

@ King Of Ninjas: I agree that ol' V-day is highly commercialised. overrated and overall a rather pointless exercise. xp But then again...I'm a girl so I'm kinda programmed to find the day kinda cute as well. sweatdrop
@ El Rab: your story sounded so pleasant up until that point. xp Hope you're feeling better!
@ LightScribe88: Lucky you! I had an iron stpomach when I was a kid. These days...not so much sweatdrop

I haven't been eating well, and I've been busy lately, so my immune system is probably shafted at the moment.
Turns out I couldn't work on monday either, which sucked.
Still, half the day was pretty cool.

My dream girlfriend would be happy to just spend the day together. Of course, she'd get a present anyway, but the fact that it's not required would mean alot to me and give me a Valentines Day present in the form of knowing someone loves me for me and not for the present buying.
