Multipart-puzzle Warning Moonshine is a 10-part puzzle, the constituent parts of which all follow a theme. Half of the puzzle in this case is working out what is being asked for the first; the remainder follow fairly easily from this. Because posting the other images would spoil the puzzle, only the first has been.

The following terms are known to give a "Close...keep going." response for part 1. Words are in white to prevent spoilers. Each word is preceeded by an asterisk on a new line, with a line gap so as to reduce accidentally revealing more than one clue. Where possible, clues are sorted, starting from most general and working to most direct.

*hobbit
*baggins
*bilbo
*gollum

well i've been working on this but i've only one other answer to add to the list.... it does give me a near, so very near status.... everything else that i've tried throws me way off field....
make that two answer that give me the same result....
how do you want me to share these two answers?

Just post in the thread...the second post is really there for when puzzle gets filed, so people don't have to hunt for hints. I'll add it (or you can) by editing the post.
Ok Ly, look at the question. Given the things that are close, you must have a good idea what "the one" refers to in the question. Who first stole it from its maker?(once stolen, it was supposed to be destroyed, but the thief decided otherwise)

alright... this time i admit the picture led me astray a bit here is a list of answer that i input into the final destination the one that sent me on in red:
Elrond Rivendell Council of Elrond Mount Doom
I feel really dense here as the answer stemmed straight from the title and had i been thinking i would have got it first off sweatdrop

The next image was of a large spider and a hobbit fighting it with a small shining dagger (sword)...
By now i had assumed we were beyond the Hobbit and went digging for Shelob... two guesses here sent me on
Shelob Ungoliant
I actually had to reread the beginning of the Sheob passages to get this one....

Alright... now it shows an image of gandalf, legolas, gimli, and i think aragorn surrounded by wolves(wargs) by a campfire... it is entitled Rescue... the sceen strikes a distinct chord... but i'm going to have to do a little back reading... as i can't nail it straight out...
wargs give a near, so very near response

I'll leave you to it then...
I'm actually stuck at 9 now-it's been a long time since I originally solved this. A picture of gollum with glowing eyes, and the title "At last, riddle me this". I haven't even got a near response yet.
scratch that...the answer was obvious-never trust google.

Now finished it entirely again, and stuck the solution to the last part in the solve database on the Scarecrow's Field. I can now see all the nears, closes etc for the puzzle.
