The next person grants it, but corrupts it.
Example:
Person One: I with for a pony
Person Two: Granted, But the Pony is dead.
Then Person two makes a wish.
Begin Now.
I wish for a pet Octopus.

Granted, it's gorgeous and not out of the trash, but it's flammable and will burst into flames when the sun hits it.
