- so yeah, I'm a big writer. I love it, it always helps me get my feelings out, or just a way to express views.
I've actually done even a few songs based solely on just one word or phrase that my friends wanted me to try.
I actually would like if you guys were to give me some ideas, a phrase or a word, even.
Here's a few examples that I've done:
My friend Becky wanted a song that had something to do with stars, anything really, just the mentioning of them, and here's what I came up with:
I write you name out a million times,
If only I would engrave them in the stars.
Then I'd know you'd forever be in my heart,
I would never forget your name.
Starry night surprise,
As we both look up into the sky.
Starry night surprise,
I see everything reflecting in your eyes.
So I imagine your face a million times and more,
If only I could sketch it in the stars.
I would write you a little message,
If I could rearrange the stars.

As we both look up into the sky.

Maybe we're looking up at the same brilliant star,
Maybe we're making the same wish.

So that's the one that I came up when working with just the word 'star'.
Another one of my friends; this was a year or two ago, so I can't remember her name for the life of me since I haven't talked to her at all recently; she wanted one talking about 'love at first sight'. So, here's what I came up with:
A quick glace was all I needed,

Or what you’re about.
But I know that someday,
You and I might be in love.
There are so many things,
That I never believed in.
I on no account trusted in good Saint Nick,
Ideas of Cupid never passed through my mind,
But love at first sight was just rekindled in my eyes.
You may think it silly,
Or just another childhood fantasy,
But I feel this is for real.
Someday you’ll see me too,
And you’ll know it’s true.
There are so many things,
That I never believed in.
I on no account trusted in good Saint Nick,
Ideas of Cupid never passed through my mind,

Yeah, I'm just way too big on writing. Haha. Both of these probably took me around 5 - 10 minutes, 15 tops most likely.
And then, here's another one, about kissing in the rain. This one was for my friend Crystal:

As we stood on your walkway,
Clouds begun to move through the sky.
Tonight, tonight, just let it be tonight,
The first time I kiss you,
The first time we don't say goodnight,
As we stand, kissing in the rain.
The stars disappeared one by one,
A few raindrops splashed on our faces.
You turned to walk away,
I grabbed you by your wrist lightly and said:
Tonight, tonight, just let it be tonight,
The first time I kiss you,
The first time we don't say goodnight,
And we stood, kissing in the rain.
I’ve never felt this way before,
Something exciting and new.
We were soaked to the bone,
But I think it was worth it.
