This is a tavern made in the memory of the place where Astria spent most of her time. A place were many of her most beloved memories came from, and of course the place where she met many of the most important people in her long life.
Please take care in your visit, as the owner and employees here will take no nonsense, and will be quick to beat the tar out of you before sending you on your way.
This tavern is well lit, with high cielings, and a warm atmosphere. Warm as in friendly, the tavern is kept pretty cold due to the specialties served within. Those who are frequent are used to the temperature and are rather comfortable with it.
Many types of food and drink are served here. Rare dishes from all over the world are prepared fresh here. Rare wines are brewed and served here as well. There is anything and everything for any pallete.
There are also rooms if you intend to spend the night, as well as room service if you tend to stay a few days.
But please, don't stay too long. You might get caught up in the drama, and may get hurt.
(Please note that I am rusty, and have not made an rp for a really long time. So this is an old Idea I am bringing to Gaia. Parts are missing but the idea is the same.)

The History of the Tavern of Rathe
Of course since this isn't the old Tavern, this is the history of the old tavern. Get it? Alrighty then.
The setting starts way back in Medieval times. The time when all races roamed the lands freely. The tavern was set in a little known country named Rathe, home of the shape shifters.
The country was one were the laws were strict on killing and magic, but all were welcome. Many races sought to live in this country as it was a sanctuary as wars made many refugees of thier own countries.
The Tavern was well known to be burned down from time to time in its owner's drunken brawls. He was a good man, that could hold his liquor, but could not stand being beaten in a drinking contest.
Astria came across this tavern one night as she was on a manhunt, and lost a bet to the owner, and she ended up being his barmaid until her debt was paid. During this time the owner and herself became close friends, which was rare for her, and she looked up to him as a father. Venom was his name, and a great man he was. But enough of his story. It will come later if you really want to know.
This is also the place where Astria first came in contact with her favorite wine, and the tavern's trade mark beverage, High Elf wine. She lost many a drinking contest, and with the increasing debt on her name, she eventually became the keeper, having to repair the tavern each time Venom and his friends had a playful fight.
Be noted though, that Astria still owes a large debt to Venom, and will avoid the subject if brought up.

KNOW YOUR KEEP
This a the list of people you should know if you come to visit.
Astria Kade: The proud owner, wine keep, and bossy snow leopard. Please do not anger her, or else you will find out how deep the demon wine keg is.
Shard Hisuruga: Keeper and head chef, he is often found trying to pick a fight with Astria and often winning as of late. Speak with him if you have an special requests. He is a half demon, half shifter, loving to stay in the form of a black fox if he is not working. He is a trickster, and is not above tying your laces together for a laugh.
Kin Kade: The dragon at Astria's side, and the bouncer to this tavern. He may look meek, but he is the embodiment of Djinn, Astria's beloved Buster sword. He hardly speaks, and is often seen eating Astria's pocky stash. Perhaps you can bribe your way inside if he will not let you?
Ghaleon Kade: Please call him Leon. He carries an axe and picks his teeth with it. Need I say more?
Siren Kade: The waitress and barmaid, she is quick to handle everyone on the busiest of nights and can work alone. Touch her without permission and Leon..., well you know the rest.
Nahmel Kade: The Bartend. He is a black dragon with a hot temper, but is kind and courtious. He learned to serve drinks in Rathe while being raised by Astria. He will not let you down, and is known to make new mixes to make more variety.
(Thats all for now. Forgive mispellings. Kade is the last name of all here. So yes they are Kade's family, and Kade is Astria's last name. Not her first. Silly people.)

Astria drums her fingers on the bar counter, watching Shard and Nahmel argue over where the tables should be placed. It was the same argument every morning. Shard wanting the tables to be spaced out where only two or three may sit. Nahmel wanting the tables closer together so that friends may sit and lounge to enjoy thier stay. Astria had no preference as long as the job was getting done.
Siren wanders into the room, sets the tables as she sees fit, and the two men instantly grow quiet. "Really. All the arguing, and you two are not even the ones waiting." She dusts her hands off and heads into the kitchen to ready the dishes for the day.
Astria giggles slightly and heads off to the rooms to see if they are to hospitable. "Shard and Nahmel, zero. Siren, well should I even say the score now?"

As Hoshii walked in, the smell of old wood greeted him like a musty hug. These kind of places, where both drink and stories poured freely, were where he belonged. He breathed it all in, enjoying the company of the patrons.
Exept there weren't any there. A woman behind the bar and two others arguing were all that met him as he made his way in.
Honestly speaking, he thought, this is the first time I've been inside a tavern... Is it always like this? Probably not, today might be a light day or something.
Either way, he came for something to drink, and drink he would. Walking up to the counter, he took a seat and hailed the barkeep.

Eniene was quiet and to herself a lot of the times. Except when she got angered. She was not one to be messed with when angered. Her large eyes searched the tavern briefly as she entered. She flipped her long straight hair out of her face and then made her way to the back of the tavern. She was shy but then she didn't know anyone here. Better stay quiet and not start too much trouble.

Hoshii paused for a moment, thinking over his order... "Uh...well..." he started, kind of confused, "Maybe something a bit on the weak side." He decided, starting small.

Her large green eyes sparkled as she gazed out over the tavern. It was interesting. Maybe she could even make friends here. Though right now she just wanted to hang low.
