First, the motion has to get passed. I wouldn't be supprised if people want to pass the motion without the CorCom stuff, that is, I expect people to want people to be PMed without an official organ to do it.

If it is voted in, there is still the issue of the initial three people. I nominated myself, because i have massive amounts of free time, Tank is the current leader, and Mere is Vice (though she seems busy, so she might want out of it).
And then, the initial three will have to decide among themselves (according to the current plan) who the other two will be, based on what they have seen so far. They should make their judgement based on who has time, and who is ideologically reliable.

tl;dr: Noone is making any decisions just yet, and the decision may not be up to you.

Anyway. Do you think it is a good idea, or not? If not, what would need to be changed to make it good?

Remember that this guild has a purpose, and its name implies its membership. We cannot begin a recruitment drive when people do not, by-and-large, agree with our politics.

Then there is the very fact of our political heterogeneity: we have trotskyists, stalinists, social democrats, anarchoids, fascists (we aren't stalinist, so they're allowed in, apparrently ******** disgusting.).

Something has to be done about that first, if we want the guild to be meaningful.

Well i mean i dont think it's realistic to bring everyone together in this guild under one political banner. Thats why it's the Neo-Communism, Communism, Socialism Guild.

There are those who take an interest in learning over these things, i dont think it would hurt to be more out-reaching.

I understand that, and I have been on record as saying that anyone not of the NCS persuasion, should be kicked. That is, at the very least, one has to be a social democrat with a commitment to achieving socialism one day.

Being the internet, I have no illusions about the possibility about building a bolshevik party here. But what I do want is a thoroughly proletarian guild, at leeast in political ideology.

As I have said before, though I doubt you would know, we have the Community for that. The NCS community exists purely to be a more informal guild where people can talk and learn about socialism and communism in a more relaxed atmosphere.

The exact workings of how I imagine that to be can be detailed n another thread or PM. This one, I would like to keep as on topic as possible.

You cannot, which is why I have been fighting against their inclusion, and also against allowing members of this guild to be members of, or post in, fascist guilds.
As I have said in Nibi's thread: You cannot argue with fascists. Doing so means you admit what they have to say is a valid viewpoint.
They aren't just conservative, who want to hold the clock still, or even reactionary, and want to turn the clock back. The want to destroy all conceptions of working class democracy. Any chance of workers revolution.

Luckily they generally do not post here.

Yeah, this motion is not about kicking. Consolidation of ideological and active membership happens later, and will be seperate actions. Of course I hope people agree.

Also, Also, are you up for this Mere? You don't seem to come on much, twice a week it seems. If you would prefer someone else take your place, speak now, before it has been voted in. I wouldn't want you to vote on a motion you couldn't carry out.

Now, back to sleep for me. I am sipping class today, I feel like I have a minor hang over... I don't get hang overs, and I haven't had a drop of alchohol in since before christmas. Random hanggover does not bode well.
