Remi skipped and hummed a little song swinging the hand she had clutched in her mother's. Looking up at her mom she smiled a huge face splitting smile. "Are we there yet mom?"
"No we're not Remi. We're getting close so just hold on." Smiling down at the adorable little girl Lizzy hoped Neena wasn't playing some practical joke on her. She had never heard of The Kitsune's Den but her cat friend had assured her it was an awesome place to eat. And boy was she hungry.
Finally spotting the restaurant Remi ran ahead of her mom and yanked open the door staring in awe at everything around her as her Lizzy slowly came up from behind, looking around for a place to sit.

There hadn't been much traffic in the Den for most of the day, something that Nyoko was eternally grateful for with a new child on her hands. And a rather strange one at that. The smell of Dragon's Blood continually distracted the Kitsune woman, causing her to be a bit slow with serving. Thankfully, the regulars didn't mind. The sound of the bell at the front caught her attention, and she silently cursed when she saw her new charge waiting right by the door. Hopefully he wouldn't scare off the customers!
Asa, however, had been having a great time. Although he was slightly annoyed Yue wasn't in The Den with him, the scent had taken up a place near the door. And as soon as Remi and her mother walked in, a wicked-looking grin found it's way upon his face. He rose from his seat with a fluid grace that seemed out of place for his apparent age, and walked over to the two woman, his dressy sneakers scuffing slightly against the floor.
"Hello there, ladies. Welcome to The Kitsune's Den," he purred, green eyes glittering mischievously.

Smelling something strangely alluring Lizzy heard the small boys voice. Smiling at him she was surprised to see bright green eyes gleaming at the two of them. "Thank you. I must say it's a pleasant surprise to be welcomed by such a handsome little boy!" Laughing lightly she continued to look for a table and noticed one that was open.
Having smelled the little boy before she heard him Remi wondered why he wore such interesting perfume. Looking at him she gasped as she looked into his green eyes. "You have cool looking eyes!" Smiling she got closer to the boy "What's your name?"

"`Kaa-san normally doesn't like me greeting the customers. I'm Shirohana Asa. A pleasure to meet you," Asa said with a rather elaborate bow. The faint scent of Gingerbread that hung around the scent child interested him. After a long moment spent eying the girl, he moved to lead Remi and Lizzy to the open table. "This place has a special offer, you know. Your first meal here is free if you promise to come back."

Being lead by the very proper young man Lizzy raised her eyebrow in question. "Really? Well that's wonderful and very nice of the owners. We'll be sure to come back again and maybe we'll bring a friend." Smiling Lizzy knew she'd have to thank Neena later this place did seem great.
Giggling at his bow Remi followed next to her mom. "Asa. It's really interesting. What does it mean?" Hearing the mention of a friend Remi grew excited. Whenever her 'aunt' Neena was mentioned Remi knew that exciting things would happen, they always did.

Proper wasn't exactly the best verb to describe Asa. It was part of his mother's culture, something she insisted he respect. At Remi's question, a lazy smile crossed the boy's features, the scales on his cheeks catching the dim light of the scented candles on the table he led them to and glinting like rubies.
"It means sun. My twin sister's name is Yue, which means moon," he explained slightly, grinning. "Now what would you like? We don't have a menu here, as anything you want we can make."

"Cool! You have a twin?" When the subject changed to food, Remi's eyes widened and she almost stood up on the table. "Anything?! Oh I want spice cake!"
"No Remi. You need to eat something besides just sweets." Scolding her daughter as nicely as she could Lizzy decided on her own order. "Well I'd like a taco and some Mexican rice." Laughing as her little girl pouted she lightly tapped the tip of her nose. "Cheer up Rem! You can have your cake after you eat."
Huffing in annoyance little Remi finally gave in to her mothers request. "Ok I'll have spaghetti!."

"Yes. She's great," Asa said, and he made a mental note of the two orders. He was a good little waiter-in-training. He may not have been on the payroll, but The Den was a family-run business. "What about drinks?"

"We'll both take milk won't we Remi?" Pinning the girl with a stare that asked for no argument Lizzy nodded her head.
"Ok....." Sighing Remi stuck her tongue out at her mom and giggled. Glancing at the boy again she took a deeper look at the red marks by his eyes noticing that they shone.
