In my town we always have the 4th of july on the 3rd... dont ask me why xd
anyway I have a big open house because I live on the top of a hill overlooking the bay (which is where the fireworks are set up) and everyone brings food, this dish makes an appearance every year.
Short cake (home made or store baught)
mixed berries, aka strawberries, blueberries, resberries, erm...snozberries (slice the larger ones, like strawberries into fours or so)
and whiped cream or ice cream.
cut the short cake into squares and mix gently with the berries,
add whiped cream or ice cream as needed.
enjoy!!
