The zOMG elite clan is really starting to . . . irk me.
For a bunch of reasons.
1. People talk about it sometimes, saying they know people in the clan. Or they want to join it.
2. Some people act liek they're hot s**t for being in it.
3. Now they're trying to throw their elite weight around with the whole recipes-thread (Divine posting about the guild made me make this thread. xD)
I was invited to the clan a week or so ago. Wasn't invited to any other clan before, so I just accepted it. The elite clan is really . . . . not elite.
I think it has 2000+ members. Wasn't the zOMG elite supposed to be . . . elite? I was in a crew for the hive and someone who ended up being the leader was invited 6s and 7s . . . when we were CL 10.

I haven't really interacted with the clan members much, but suffice to say I'd take them down a notch or two if they tried to act elitist because of a clan.

Oh-ho-ho!
God I hate some clans!
Specifically those with the most members. And not because of how they act, but because of how they recruit.
Spam invites to a certain amount of people per day, not really paying attention to quality, but only to quantity. Allways aiming for the top place, which is attained by having the most members, many of who could care less about the clan and just joined because they were asked.
So the number of members doesn't have anything to do with how many people are active within the clan. The Elite invited me three times before the game was out, which I believe formed my want to slaughter all clans. Then, after zOMG! came out, the Titans invited me.
I quickly declined, saw that the captain made a thread in the recrewting subforum, and threatened it. Then, a while later after finding the clan was public and I could post in it, I made a threatening thread within, and dilann invited me yet again.

I don't want to type an essay on this, however, so I must hold back.

hey guys, glad to hear about joining clans, anyhow, i was also invited by the elites a week ago but the captain jan forgot that i already have a clan, so i declined, as of you know zOMG Elite and Titans are very fierce competitors but somewhere on the way, both clans believed of the power of allegiance so their friends now. biggrin

Edited to be suitably jerkish. Concurred, by the way. EDIT: My god, that one in the forum now is an arrogant one. I did a long and well cited reason as to precisely why they were misplaced, and all I got was a "Thanks for the bump". Honestly.

I love clans, although I'm back to being clanless.
I like the Titans clan because they're public, so I can go in there and spam without ever joining, despite the many invitations I get from them and keep refusing.
The zOMG Elite... aren't so Elite? It bothers me that they couldn't care less about the quality of their members, and that they care more about the quantity.
Personally, I would rather be in a small but active, literate, and fun clan.
