What's your opinion on some of the old but wonderfully memorable Hanna-Barbera cartoons? Talk about any one of them - Scooby-Doo, the Flintstones, SWAT Kats... anyone of the good ole classics.
I personally think that the Scooby's All-Star Laff-A-Lympics was one of the best ideas for a cartoon ever. *nods*

Some of the first stories I wrote in primary school were Scooby Doo ones. xD I'd regularly hurry home from school to catch them and look forward to Saturday mornings where they'd run two or three together. Never really liked Hong Kong Phooey though and I really don't know why everyone doesn't seem to like Scrappy Doo...I kinda liked him. xD

i remeber entering a talent contes with a scooby doo script i wrote with my friends. twas the best play ever!
it was called "Scooby Doo and the Mystery of the Mudbog Monster" and the 'mudbog monster' was played by our teacher! xd

That's seriously cool, Matti. I'd love it if our teacher played a monster for me like that.xD Nice guy - I bet it was really fun to do, too. How'd it go? I mean, did it win or anything?
I think Hong Kong Phooey was a bit on the cheesy side, personally. But for me, nothing can beat the absolute class of Top Cat. I still love watching Top Cat.xD And the Wacky Races... still so fun.
And despite me saying I don't like the Flintstones much, I actually do have fun watching it.

we didn't win unfortunately but we got quite a few laughs and a large round of applause so it was worth it 3nodding
and that teacher was really awesome, he was more like a friend to be honest!
hong kong phoey was fun but i never had much of a clue what was going on most of the time sweatdrop
and flinstones has some great gags in there and an awesome theme tune!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -Yup, I loved the theme tune as well. xD The Flintstones had something for everyone, which is what gave it such broad appeal and made it family viewing rather than just for kids to enjoy. Little bit of trivia for those who have heard of the reference - Top Cat was inspired by the Phil Silvers Show, otherwise known as Sergeant Bilko (Not the terrible Steve Martin movie), with the TC characters pretty much cartoonized versions of those in found in Sergeant Bilko.

Oooh,I loved Top Cat....And Wacky Races,but I never really watched Scooby-Doo because I was only little and got kinda scared when I watched them. gonk
Top Cat is one of the best cartoons EVER!I love it,love it,love it,love it,love it,love it,love it,love it,love it,love it,love it,love it.........................LOVE IT! xp

I loved The Jetsons & Yogi Bear the best. I also adored the Smurfs! The Flinstones was pretty awesome but I didn't like how much Fred yelled at Wilma! razz Did you know the Flinstones promoted cigarettes? I lovelovelove Jonny (Johnny?) Quest. The theme song is supreme and I just love it all around.
I haven't watched many of the others recently but I did a big history project on the Honeymooners/Flintstones/Simpsons. It was pretty BA.
I remember liking the Jetsons, Flints, Yogi Bear and Huckleberry Hound a ton. And Pixie and Dixie and Augie Doggy and Doggy Dad. (I keep remembering title after title after title, looools)
My dad has a Hanna-Barberra trivia game that we play every so often.

Really? Advertised smoking? Wow, they'd never get away with that anymore!
Woody Woodpeck? No, I don't think so. But gosh, he gave me a headache. I couldn't stand that horrible creature same with -unrelatedly- Roadrunner. I wanted to do... bad things to them.xD
@Mary: I remember Johnny Quest myself though I'm not sure if the one I'm familiar with is the original one or the cheap remake. I'm pretty sure the cheap remake had a girl character added in so it wasn't that, I don't think...
It's cool you did a big history project on that, though. It sounds like it could've been a fun lesson.

My favorite Hanna-Barbera cartoon has always been The Flintstones. I think I know the episodes by heart or something. I remember watching them at 12pm everyday when I was like 7 or 8 years old, at my grandma and grandpa's house. ... Those are good memories >w<
I also like The Jetsons and The Smurfs. ^_^
