Which of the [semi]main characters do you think was just in the story to be in the story?
For obvious reasons I'm excluding characters that had pivitol roles in the plot [such as Jasper, who's role blossomed in Eclipse; Laurant, who sparked the Voluturi's advance in Breaking Dawn by fleeing to the Denali coven in Twilight; etc]. I'm adding Renesmee in the mix because there's such a feud over her..though I personally like her quite a bit.
And sorry if there was someone else you thought could have been left out..you can only have 10 choices in these polls!!!!

I'm going with Renesmee. She broke the established cannon of the books and she really seemed to be more of a parody then an actual character. Plus her name is crack.

cuteGigidog mike is pointless in the book He's also kind of pointless in the movie, but Mike serves the same purpose as the other human teenagers. He's supposed to make Bella seem more realistic because she has more friends then just Edward's family.

I put Angela. xd She's really nice and I like her and wouldn't want her gone and stuff, but she doesn't really have a huge role in the book. Bella goes with Jessica when she wants someone to just talk the whole time (which is a lot of the time), and I think Jessica's role is just more important, I guess.

I think they could have went on with out Mike, he has no point I think that Bella had enough friends and guys drooling. But I also could have done without Eric.

..am I the only person who thinks Mike does have a point to the series? Not a huge one sure, but there is a reason for him..
Mike helps Edward discover jealousy. Before Edward began talking to Bella again after the incident in the parking lot with Tyler's car, Edward couldn't help but absolutely seethe over the attention Bella was getting from Mike. Edward admits that he didn't understand what jealousy was even after reading about it and watching it in movies, and that Mike's advances on Bella triggered those feelings inside him, thus, Edward learns how to feel jealous! Ta-dah! xd And then he just feels more and more of it because of all the other boys and Jacob......poor thing sweatdrop
