Casey the rabbit sat down near a creek in San Jose with her friends Nikki and Tigger. Nikki, the most curious of the three, asked, ”What’s that?” and pointed to a small metal box with a carrot in it. Tigger hopped in, and before Casey and Nikki could yell “Stop,” he was trapped inside. The bunnies tried to gnaw through the bars but it didn’t work.
About an hour later, there was a rumbling sound and the bunnies dove for cover as a green pickup truck stopped and a man in a yellow shirt got out. He picked up Tigger’s cage, put it in the back of the truck, and covered it with a tarp. Just as the man was about to leave, Casey and Nikki hopped into the back of the truck and hid themselves underneath the tarp. As the truck drove away, all the bunnies were thinking, “What now?”
An hour or two later, the truck stopped. ”Hey,” Casey said. “Look at that bridge! I think we’re in San Francisco!”
“Great, now what?” Tigger asked. “How will we get back to San Jose?”
Suddenly, Nikki screamed, “Aaah!!! Hide!!! He’s coming!!!”
The man was now wearing a nametag that said, HI! MY NAME IS: Fred. Fred opened the cage. Tigger jumped out and bit him. Hard.
“Yaaaaah!!!!!!!!” screeched Fred.
The three bunnies jumped out and hopped as far away from Fred as they could. On the way, they had to dodge seventeen cars, nine busses, a trolley, and several bikes. Nikki nearly didn’t get away from the trolley.
Finally, the bunnies reached a nice woodsy spot with a sign that said Welcome to Golden Gate Park. Casey, Nikki, and Tigger decided to make a burrow there, and they lived happily ever after.
