The Eldar are an ancient space faring race. They left their homeworld of Iyanden about 5000 years ago, and have colonized many different systems all throughout their empire. They have also discovered other intelligent creatures in their exploration of the galaxy, but have not found any yet that can travel through space. The Eldar are an honorable people, and they do not use their technological supremacy to enslave lesser Races. They also believe that they should not interfere with the natural development of other Races. But the Eldar can be arrogant in that they believe they are the most advanced species in the galaxy, and that they alone are entitled to the right of traveling through the stars.

Physical Attributes
The Eldar physically look the same as Humans, except that Eldar have pointed ears, and Eldar are usually less muscular than Humans. Eldar may not be as strong as Humans but they are much faster. Eldar also have superior eyesight. Finally the Eldar can live up to 900 years and yet look like they have not aged past 30.

Every Eldar has latent psychic ability. The most common manifestation of this seems to be their ability to speak telepathically with each other and sense emotions. These abilities allow them to use a Neural Interface to control their vehicles and ships with their minds. There are some who dedicate their lives to honing their psychic powers. These Eldar are split into two categories: Farseers and Warlocks.

Farseers are able to see the future. Usually they can only see a little ways into the future, but better skilled Farseers can see years or even centuries into the future. The ability to see the future is rare, even among the Eldar, but those few that do are usually asked to join in the military as advisers to Fleet Masters, because what commander would not want someone who could tell you what your enemy is going to do, before they even think of it?

Warlocks are the other psychic specialists of the Eldar, but instead of focusing on learning how to see the future Warlocks learn how to use their powerful abilities as weapons. They learn how to move objects with their minds and to create blue fire and blue lightning out of thin air. They are very deadly, and can often be found fighting side by side with other units of conventional soldiers.

Classes
Prince: Head of an Eldar clan. Princes have a seat on the council for whatever planet they live on. They also have their own personal army, that they fund with their own resources and money that they get from their territories and the people who live on their lands. A Prince is not limited to owning territory on their home world. They often times own territories on other planets, even in other systems, and also asteroid fields and other objects in space.
Fleet Master: A Fleet Master commands a Fleet of Eldar Warships and is subservient to his or her Prince. Ship Master's also command the ground forces that accompany their fleet.
Ship Master: A Ship Master is commander of a Capital Ship and takes orders from the Fleet Master.
Farseer: Farseers are gifted Eldar who can see the future. They are most often used to advise Fleet and Ship Masters in battle by telling them of their visions for the battle.
Warlock: Warlocks are powerful Eldar psychic warriors who fight along normal soldiers in ground battles.
Templar: Templars are highly dedicated Eldar warriors who charge onto the front lines in battle. They wear superior armor compared to normal soldiers. Their armor triples their strength and it is also very strong against energy and bullet weapons. The armor comes equipped with an energy shield on each forearm, which can be activated or deactivated simply by the wearer thinking it. Templars do not use ranged weapons as they think they are cowardly and so they only use Vibro Blades to cut up their enemies.
Wraith: Wraiths are different from most Eldar in that all Wraiths originate from the planet Shakuras. They also do not swear allegiance to an Eldar Prince, but instead they live in smaller family clans, and only go to war when and Eldar Prince hires their services. Wraiths are stealthy warriors, and because of the fact that Shakuras has no sun Wraiths excel at night combat. Their preferred weapons are blades (usually normal blades as Vibro Blades make a humming sound when activated). They also like to use MAC Weapons because they do not give off as much light when fired. All Wraith weapons vary from clan to clan because each makes their own, and has their own style. One thing all Wraiths have in common though are their unique black shrouds. The shrouds are made from a special spider silk indigenous on Shakuras and has the ability to bend light around it when an electric current is ran through it, so, all Wraiths wear special gauntlets that create a slight electric charge to activate the property of their cloaks.
Pilot: Eldar Pilots pilot Eldar ships and vehicles. They are trained to be very skilled at piloting whatever craft they are assigned to, and with Eldar reaction time (plus a Neural Interface) they are very skilled.
Soldier: Eldar Soldiers where armor that is resistant to both energy and bullet weapons. The armor also monitors the wearer's life signs to see how badly they are injured, and it carries a homing beacon and powerful radio to help monitor troop movements in battle. Eldar Soldiers carry Plasma Rifles, Plasma Pistols, and Vibro Blades. Snipers carry Laser Rifles because of their superior range, power, and accuracy. Their normal armor looks like this:

Eldar Banshees: An all Female order of swordswomen. Their special armor creates a time dilation field with the user wearing it which to the wearer everything in the outside world seems to move slower. This ability allow them to move and react faster than should be possible and with a vibrosword in hand this can be very dangerous to enemies. The Helmets of these suits create a frightening wailing sound when the time dilation field is active, hence they are called Banshees. Because of the wailing sound, and that they would not be able to understand anyone else outside of the field they do not always have this time dilation field activated. Finally Banshees are rare, highly disciplined warriors who usually only serve as body guards for high ranking Eldar officials and Farseers.

Technology

The Eldar have highly advanced technology. They have perfected many different kinds of Energy Weapons and as such Energy Weapons are the staple of the Eldar Military.

Weapon Types
Vibro Blade: A powered blade that vibrates, which allows it to cut through metal more easily.
MAC Rifle: A MAC Rifle is similar to a normal rifle, but instead of using an explosion to propel the projectile, a MAC Rifle uses lines of magnets to accelerate the projectile to a killing velocity. MAC Rifles have greater accuracy, speed, and can propel larger objects than conventional guns.
Laser Rifle: A Laser Rifle focuses a beam of light into a much tighter and condensed beam. When the beam of light exits the firing tube whatever it touches will immediately be burned. Laser Weapons can pierce metal with ease. Their only downfall is that they require several seconds of charge time between each shot.
Laser Cannon: A Laser Cannon is just like a Laser Rifle, except on a much larger scale, and thus more powerful.
Plasma Rifle: Plasma Rifles heat up volatile Plasma to a very high temperature, and then propel it out of a firing aperture. Plasma Weapons can pierce metal like Laser Weapons but not as well and the Plasma expands for a couple seconds after impact, to burn more of the target it hit. Plasma Weapons require no recharge time, but instead if fired too much they overheat. Also, they require Plasma to fire, and once that runs out they must fill up with more Plasma.
Plasma Cannon: Exactly like a Plasma Rifle, but on a larger scale.
Plasma Torpedo: A Plasma Torpedo is a ball of volatile Plasma, and at it's center is a small Plasma resistant sphere of metal. The sphere is what is carried in the ship/vehicle, and when it is fired it wraps itself in Plasma, and uses the Plasma to propel itself to the intended target. Plasma Torpedoes are very fast, and very powerful, but, if the Torpedo is unable to continue producing Plasma before it reaches it's target the Torpedo will explode violently.
Lance: A Lance is another kind of Laser Weapon, but while Laser Cannons fire a small ball-like beam of light, Lances fire a line of Light. Lances are superior at piercing metal, and do much more damage to their target, but they also require more energy than other laser weapons, and so they are usually only used as artillery for vehicles and starships.
Pulsar Lance: Similar to a normal Lance, but on a much larger scale.

Other Technology
Neural Interface: Neural Interfaces allow the Eldar to control their technology with their minds, greatly increasing reaction time. These Neural interfaces can be activated by other organic species, but they would require a strong mind to control them, or else they could suffer severe brain damage.
Eldar Space Mine: Eldar Space Mines do not explode like other mines, instead they are equipped with 3 Laser Cannons that fire in an alternation to produce a constant barage of fire. They are equipped with Shield Generators and maneuvering thrusters which allow them to both move and aim but to also dodge some slow moving attacks. Eldar Space Mines have no armor at all, and also no onboard power source, instead they are powered at a remote location, either from a planet, space station, or some other location that will remotely transfer power to the mine through radio waves. This mode of powering helps to make the Mines cheap, but they cannot be powered on all the time, and so it takes about 1 Minute to get sufficient power to them to turn on. They look like this:

Starships

All Eldar ships are very fast and well armed and have decent shields. They have Hyperdrives and Energy Shields on all their ships except fighters and drop ships, and their Hyperdrives recharge very quickly. But Eldar ships do have one weakness: their lack of armor, once their Shields fail they cannot take much of a beating before being destroyed. All Eldar ships (except of course Spires) can enter and fly in an Atmosphere.

Name: Dart Attack Fighter
Appearance: User Image
Weapons: 2 Plasma Cannons and 1 Laser Cannon
Description: The Dart Attack Fighter is a very fast and nimble fighter used by the Eldar. It is unmatched in speed and maneuverability, and with a Neural Interface pilot reaction time is as fast as a thought. Darts have decently powerful weapons for a ship of their size, but no Energy Shield, and minimal armor.

Name: Eagle Bomber
Appearance: User Image
Weapons: 4 Plasma Cannons, 2 Laser Cannons, 12 Plasma Torpedoes
Description: Eagle Bombers are carried aboard and deployed by larger Eldar Capital ships to launch devastating attack runs on targets where a head to head engagement would be too dangerous. Eagle Bombers have no Energy Shields.

Name: Harpy Drop Ship
Appearance: User Image
Weapons: 2 Plasma Cannons
Description: Eldar Harpy Drop Ships are small and fast craft that can carry up to 20 soldiers. They are carried on capital ships, and then deployed to the surface from orbit. Harpy Drop Ships have no Energy Shields.

Name: Troop Transport
Appearance: User Image
Weapons: 3 Laser Cannons, 6 Plasma Cannons
Description: Eldar Troop Transports carry large battalions of troops and artillery to the surface of a planet. Troop Transports have their own Hyperdrives and Energy Shields, but they still require other ships to protect them.

Name: Nightshade Class Destroyer
Appearance: User Image
Weapons: Plasma Torpedoes, 8 Plasma Cannons, 4 Lances
Description: Nightshades are small ships that excel in hit and run attacks. They will come out of where ever they are hiding and then launch a deadly bombardment with their Torpedoes and Lances and then dart away before the enemy can bring their weapons to bear. Nightshades have Hyperdrives and Energy Shields.

Name: Aurora Class Cruiser
Appearance: User Image
Weapons: 2 Lances, 2 Pulsar Lances, 16 Laser Cannons, 20 Plasma Cannons, Plasma Torpedoes
Description: Auroras are favorites of Eldar Commanders because they are still small and maneuverable like a Nightshade, but have twice as much firepower and triple the armor. Auroras can also carry a small compliment of fighters.

Name: Eclipse Class Carrier
Appearance: User Image
Weapons: 4 Lances, 1 Pulsar Lance, Plasma Torpedoes, 24 Laser Cannons, 36 Plasma Cannons
Description: Eclipse Class Carriers are large and fast capital ships. They charge into with weapons firing and then they release their squadrons of fighters to inflict heavy damage on nearby vessels, meanwhile they back off to a safe distance and attack whenever an opportunity presents itself.

Name: Void Stalker Class Battleship
Appearance: User Image
Weapons: 4 Pulsar Lances, 8 Lances, 36 Laser Cannons, 50 Plasma Cannons, Plasma Torpedoes
Description: The Void Stalker is the pinnacle of Eldar starship technology. It combines heavy weapons, powerful shields, and incredible speed and maneuverability to become one of the most deadly classes of starhips in the galaxy. They also carry a decent sized compliment of fighters.

Name: Haven Class Spire
Appearance: User Image
Weapons: 20 Pulsar Lances, Plasma Torpedoes, 80 Laser Cannons, 140 Plasma Cannons
Description: Haven Class Spires are used by the Eldar to protect planets and other important locations. They have immense on board weapons, and several squadrons of fighters. Their shields are also very powerful, but once a Haven Class Spire is put in place it cannot be moved. Eldar Commanders often use Spires to power their minefields since they are already well protected.
